The Equity Capital Markets (ECM DMBH) Team represents Citi in Poland in the field of brokerage activities in preparing and performing transactions on the capital market. ECM DMBH draws on expertise of the Capital Operations Center of Bank Handlowy and Citibrokerage. Its history dates back to the nineties of the twentieth century. The first important transaction closed involved floating shares of Krosno S.A., one of the first five companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange beginning with 16 April 1991. Many prestigious transactions were closed by Citi on the Polish market afterwards, such as the: first public offering of Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. in 1998 (USD 923 Mln) – the largest public offering in Poland at that time; purchase of Polfa Kutno shares by IVAX (USD 150 Mln USD, 2004) through a call for exchanging Polfa shares into IVAX shares and floating of IVAX on the WSE, and the ORCO public offering in 2007 (EUR 172.5), conducted at the same time on two markets (Warsaw, Budapest). In 2009 DMBH performed the function of Joint-Offering Agent in public issue of City of Warsaw municipal bonds – first series, nominal value of PLN 600 mn. In 2010 DMBH was the Joint Bookrunner in secondary public offering of ENEA S.A. valued at PLN 1.13 bn.  ECM DMBH provides professional services associated with preparing and conducting the procedure required to admit shares of companies into public trading on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. ECM staff provides advisory services associated with the secondary market, other stock exchange and off-stock exchange transactions, as well as in non-public offerings.

Our target is to provide global quality services to our Clients. Forbes has listed us third in the ranking of brokerage houses prepared based on the number of transactions closed on the WSE.
