NewConnect

Regulacje

NewConnect is a shares market based on an alternative trading system operated by the WSE. The market is open to young, dynamic businesses with high growth potential – operating first of all on the new technologies market. The specific nature of the issuers makes NewConnect offer slightly different as to formal requirements and information duties, thus making generation of equity much cheaper. NewConnect has been established as a starting point for regular stock exchange listings of the quoted there businesses.

Investors operating on the NewConnect market have to be aware that higher growth potential of the quoted there companies is associated at the same time with increased investment risk. This results from the specific profile of the market, where companies with short histories, operating on the most volatile and competitive segments (new technologies) of the economy are being listed.

The NewConnect session is shorter and listings are available in two systems:

  • order driven (with Market Animator participation) – sessions last from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with types of orders and trade priorities being same as on the regulated market;
  • price driven (with Market Maker participation) – sessions last from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with price of the listed instruments determined with accuracy to one Grosz, irrespectively of the price thereof.
