- Wal-Mart approves your presentations for payment and sends their payment approval to Citibank, N.A.
- If Section 9 of the Document Transmittal Form/Cover Letter is not signed and completed or if Citibank, N.A. does not purchase the Trade Acceptance from you, Citibank, N.A. sends you a notice that payment has been approved by Wal-Mart, indicating the respective maturity date which Wal-Mart has agreed to.
- Completing Section 9 requests Citibank N.A. to automatically purchase the Wal-Mart approved Trade Acceptance, at the agreed upon discount rate.
- All payments are transmitted by Citibank, N.A. electronically. No checks are mailed.
The program fees are at a low, set rate and are automatically deducted from all payments. Our agreement to purchase Wal-Mart’s Trade Acceptance will be at a discounted spread rate (e-mail for information) plus the applicable Term SOFR (secured overnight financing rate published by the federal reserve bank of New York) for the period between our purchase date until its maturity date. Generally, the fee works out to be far less than what it would cost you to fund this receivable, resulting in savings to you.
All non-discounted electronic submissions will incur a $25.00 processing fee.
You simply notify us at the e-mail addresses indicated below indicating that you’d like to opt out of the Citibank, N.A. and Wal-Mart EOAT program.
No, the full Trade Acceptance value must be sold or held until its maturity date. Citi will not be able to purchase individual invoice values when more than one invoice is attached to a draft/presentation.
Yes, as indicated in Section 9 of our Document Transmittal Form, when Citibank N.A. agrees to purchase the Trade Acceptance, it is a true sale predicated upon the warranties you had provided for in that section. At this time, we anticipate that no UCC 1 or similar will be filed.
