e-Statements
What is e-Statements?
e-Statements is a service that delivers account summary statements for cash accounts held with Citibank branches in Canada via a password-protected e-mail at the end of the reporting period.
What are the benefits?
e-Statements are secure, convenient and easy to access. e-Statements are distributed in PDF format and are delivered to designated inboxes. e-Statements can be stored by recipients directly on their computers for easy access. e-Statements can be established for up to ten e-mail addresses per account.
What types of organizations are best suited for e-Statements?
Virtually all companies and organizations looking to convert their account summary statements from paper to electronic can benefit from e-Statements. If your organization is not an active user of CitiDirect Online Banking, we suggest that you take advantage of the e-Statements solution.
How much does e-Statements cost?
e-Statements is provided free of charge.
How do I sign up for e-Statements and when will I start receiving my electronic statements?
To get started, click the below link and have an authorized signer of your organization or company complete and submit the registration form.
Once e-Statements is implemented, you will receive a confirmation email plus an e-mail containing a unique Randomly Generated Passkey which should be used to create your permanent Personal Passkey.
Your first electronic statement will either be delivered the same month you register for e-Statements or the following month. This will depend on the date you register and the frequency of your current statements.
After I sign-up for e-Statements, do I need to deactivate my paper statements?
No. When you sign-up for e-Statements, you automatically suppress paper statements. If you would like to receive paper statements, contact your Citi Client Manager.
What happens with cancelled cheques that are currently mailed to me together with the paper statement?
There are three options available to you to manage cancelled cheques:
- Option 1: Continue receiving cancelled cheques by mail (default)
- Option 2: Subscribe to the Cheque Warehousing Service
- Option 3: Subscribe to the Cheque Image Capture Service
If you are interested in the Cheque Warehousing or Cheque Image Capture services for your organization, please contact your Citi Client Manager.

What is CitiDirect Statements on the Web?
The Statements on the Web feature on the CitiDirect Online Banking platform allows authorized CitiDirect users to conveniently access any entitled Citibank Canada account summary statement on demand.
What are the benefits?
CitiDirect Statements on the Web is secure, convenient and easy to use. Only defined users can log on to CitiDirect to access account summary statements on demand. However, an unlimited number of persons in your organization can be granted access to view these statements.
What types of organizations are best suited for CitiDirect Statements on the Web?
CitiDirect Statements on the Web works best for companies that are actively using CitiDirect Online Banking. If your organization is not using CitiDirect and you would like more information, contact your Citi Client Manager.
What is the cost of CitiDirect Statements on the Web?
CitiDirect Statements on the Web is provided free of charge.
How can I sign up for CitiDirect Statements on the Web and when will I gain access to my electronic statements?
All CitiDirect clients with cash accounts held in Canada have access to the CitiDirect Statements on the Web feature. To get started, contact the Security Manager in your organization. Then, click the below link and have an authorized signer of your organization complete and submit the registration form.
You will have access to run your account summary statements either the same month you request the entitlement or the following month. This will depend on the date you gain entitlements and the frequency of your current statements.
