Email and SMS Alerts

Citi® DoD APCs and cardholders can receive SMS and email alerts through the CitiManager® web tool for convenient access to information regarding their accounts. Alerts provide timely information without having to log into CitiManager or call Citi Customer Service. Cardholders and APCs can easily opt-in and opt-out of email and SMS alerts through CitiManager based on their needs for specific alerts.

Below are the top five alerts that Citi recommends DoD APCs and cardholders utilize in order to more efficiently manage their card accounts. If any of the alerts are not available in the CitiManager web tool, APCs should contact their CAS manager to enable alerts for their agency.

  • New Statement Available – Receive notification when your statement is available to be viewed, downloaded, or printed in CitiManager.
  • Payment Due - Receive notification when there are five days before your payment is due on your account. This helps to avoid delinquencies and suspensions.
  • Declined Transaction – Receive a real-time notification as to when and why your transaction is being declined. This will help you to quickly resolve any declined transaction issues and limit any disruptions in the program
  • Available Credit Remaining – Receive a real-time notification when a transaction reduces the available credit remaining percentage to less than or equal the notification percentage amount set by the cardholder.
  • Card Activation Reminder – Receive a notification reminder to activate your new Citi SmartPay Card. This will help you begin making official government-related charges when you need to and mitigate any delays you may encounter.
