Q – I received my new Chip and PIN card and established a 4-digit PIN. Is it mandatory that I use this PIN every time I use my card?

A – Yes, as long as you are using your Chip and PIN card at an active chip terminal. If the merchant has not converted to the Chip and PIN terminal, you will still be able to swipe the card and use it just as before.

Q – How do I activate my Chip and PIN card online?

A – The card activation sticker includes a link to Citi’s Receipt Verification site; see the step by step instructions noted below:

1) Enter Account Number and Verification ID	2) Enter CVV
3) PIN selection (if required)	4) Card activated
