This paper has illustrated the benefits that can be had from these imperatives but looking beyond an FX lens, the theme of productivity gains brought about by automation, outsourcing and digitalisation are universal and COVID-19 might just be the catalyst that businesses need to spur the adoption of these initiatives. Similarly, increased risk visibility enabled through appropriate technology is key when navigating through uncertainty. While COVID-19 might presently have an unclear ending, what is certain is that our responses need to go look beyond present events. Corporates, in reshaping their operational models for productivity, will be in a better shape to withstand imminent business threats from the pandemic that are yet unseen.
