Beau Fournet, Managing Director, HBK

Beauregard Fournet has been associated with HBK since 2002 and is a Managing Director (i.e., Partner). Beau leads the firm’s recruiting efforts and strategic initiatives. In addition, Beau oversees the firm’s risk management and technology functions and provides support to the co-Chief Investment Officers. Before joining HBK, Beau was a strategy consultant with The Boston Consulting Group. Beau received a B.S. degree summa cum laude in Finance from Louisiana State University in 1995. In 1999, he received an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School.

Brian Crowell, Global Head of WMA Portfolio Solutions, WorldQuant Millennium Advisors LLC

Mr. Crowell is the Global Head of WMA Portfolio Solutions where he works closely with Millennium's largest investment team, WorldQuant, to develop new investment solutions offered through the joint venture, WorldQuant Millennium Advisors LLC ("WMA"). He joined Millennium in 2015, after spending eight years at AQR Capital Management in a variety of roles, including work in their Portfolio Solutions Group, and most recently as the Global Head of Consultant Relations. Prior to joining AQR, Mr. Crowell was a Summer Associate at UBS Global Asset Management in their Equities Long/Short Group and earlier worked as a proprietary equity trader. He became a CFA charter holder in 2009 and is a member of the CFA Institute. He earned his AB in Chemistry from Dartmouth College and his MBA with concentrations in Analytic Finance, Economics and Accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Carmen Lam, Partner, Operational Due Diligence Group and Head of Canada, Albourne Partners Limited.

Carmen Lam joined Albourne Partners Limited in 2008. She is a Partner, a senior member of Albourne’s Operational Due Diligence Group, and the Region Head for Canada. Carmen is also a member of our internal DEIB Council.

For the past 7 years, Carmen has been dedicated to private markets operational due diligence. Prior to Albourne, Carmen joined the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (“CPPIB”) in 2007 as the founding member on the Operational Due Diligence Team. Before that she was a Senior Financial Analyst at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (“OTPP”), primarily responsible for the financial reporting for OTPP’s alternative investment portfolio. Carmen started her career with Ernst & Young LLP (Canada) in the Assurance & Advisory practice focused on financial services institutions. Carmen has a MSc in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. She is a CFA Charterholder, and a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois).

Chris Procaccini, Portfolio Manager, Magnetar Capital

Prior to joining Magnetar, Mr. Procaccini was Managing Director – Portfolio Manager, Healthcare and Consumer Staples at Hutchin Hill Portfolio Management. From 2014 to 2016, Mr. Procaccini held the role of Managing Director – Head of North American Long Short Equities at Highbridge Capital Management, where he built and managed a team that was responsible for investing across all sectors. Mr. Procaccini also spent over three years at SAC Capital Advisors as Portfolio Manager – Healthcare. Prior to his time at SAC, Mr. Procaccini worked at Och-Ziff Capital Management Group from 2000 to 2010, where he served as Managing Director – Head of Healthcare and Consumer/Retail Groups.

Mr. Procaccini earned a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and has obtained his Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification.

Christian Doheny, Managing Director, AQR Capital

Chris Doheny is a Managing Director at AQR Capital Management, where he is a member of the Global Stock Selection strategy team. In his role, he conducts analysis and engages clients on equity-related topics. He also sits on AQR’s Equities Investment Committee, which oversees long-only and long-short equity strategies. Chris previously held a similar role within AQR’s Global Asset Allocation group, working on a variety of global macro strategies. Prior to joining AQR, he was associate director of asset allocation and risk for the Ford Foundation. He also has worked at Bridgewater Associates, Morgan Stanley and Wellington Management Co. Chris earned a B.S. in economics and operations management from Boston College, graduating magna cum laude, and an M.B.A. from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. He is a CFA charterholder and holds a Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF).

Christoph Dietrich, Portfolio Manager, External Managers Group, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

Christoph Dietrich is a portfolio manager in OTPP's External Managers Group, focusing on liquid absolute return investments. His main areas of expertise are quantitative equity and futures, commodities and derivatives relative value. Prior to joining OTPP he spent eight years on the sell-side with a primary focus on structuring commodity quantitative strategies and volatility relative value strategies at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Christoph earned a master's degree in Finance from Sciences Po Paris.

David Sheng, Managing Director, Portfolio Advisory, Aksia

David is a Managing Director on the Portfolio Advisory team and has over 16 years of experience in alternative investments. He is responsible for alternative investment programs in the Americas, including portfolio management and construction, as well as manager evaluation. David also focuses on business development efforts and marketing initiatives across North America.

Prior to joining Aksia in 2018, David was a Senior Manager Research Analyst at Man FRM focused on sourcing and evaluating alternatives strategies, as well as active portfolio management. Prior to Man FRM, David was a Vice President within the Institutional Sales and Trading business at HSBC, and before that he worked at Morgan Stanley, where he covered institutional clients across the hedge fund, asset management, and sovereign wealth fund universe, with a focus on fixed income and foreign exchange.

David graduated from Princeton University with a BA in Economics and holds an MBA from Columbia University.

David Willers, Principal, Mercer

Dave is a Principal based in the Toronto office and has been working in investment consulting for over twenty years, advising institutional investors of all sizes. These clients include pension plans, insurance companies, endowments and charitable foundations. Dave's clients employ a range of different approaches to implementing their investment strategies and require different consulting approaches based on the make-up of the investment committee.

Dave has acted as an alternative investments specialist for Mercer alongside his client consulting responsibilities and so has specialist knowledge in asset classes such as infrastructure, private debt, private equity and hedge funds. He also previously led our 25 strong investment team in Bristol, England.

Dave is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and holds a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Diana Amoa, CIO of Long Biased Strategies, Kirkoswald

Diana Amoa is the CIO of Long Biased Strategies at Kirkoswald, based in New York. Prior to this role, Diana was a managing director and senior portfolio manager at JPMorgan Asset Management co managing in excess of USD 10 bn in global fixed income and currency strategies Diana has also previously held EM fixed income and FX trading roles at UBS, Société Générale and Standard Chartered Bank

Diana holds an MSc and MBA from the University of Oxford, where she attended as a Rhodes Scholar She also holds a BSc in finance and banking from the University of Reading and is a CFA charter holder

France Boisjoli, Managing Director, Securities Finance, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec

As a Managing Director Securities Finance, France leads a diverse team of highly qualified finance professionals who’s primary role is to optimize CDPQ’s Liquid assets portfolio by executing different Securities Finance investing and Funding strategies. Her team’s main function is to maximize income generated from transactions that have a mandate to enhance lendable assets, diversifying sources of financing and reduce funding risks. France oversees prime broker activities which enables CDPQ to execute on various related strategies. She is also responsible for managing and monitoring risks in line with CDPQ’s risk appetite. The Securities Finance team plays an important part in the execution of CDPQ’s mandate and strategic vision. As a Finance leader, she values key partner relationships, promotes work life balance and, diversity and inclusivity amongst her team and the organization.

France joined CDPQ in June 2004, which during her tenure continued successfully evolving in the Securities Finance landscape, from analyst and moving up to portfolio manager.

Prior to CDPQ, France worked at State Street Bank and Trust.

France graduated from Université du Québec à Montréal with a Master's degree in Financial Communications and graduated from Université of L’École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal with a Bachelor's in Finance.

Heather Sergeant, Portfolio Manager, CPP Investments

Heather Sergeant is a Portfolio Manager, External Portfolio Management, at CPP Investments, maintaining a portfolio of externally managed funds and separately managed accounts across public market strategies.

She has over 15 years of investment experience spanning risk management and allocation roles across different strategies in the hedge fund space. She invests in established and emerging managers globally, with a current focus on fundamental equity long/short funds. Heather joined CPP Investments in June 2011 from TD Securities.

Ms. Sergeant has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa, and is a CFA charterholder.

Ilya Gofshteyn, Head of Macro Strategy, Capstone

Ilya Gofshteyn is Capstone’s Head of Macro Strategy, overseeing the fund’s macro research process and output. He is responsible for developing the firm’s thematic outlook, working with portfolio managers to refine their macro views, and discussing market developments with investors. In addition, Ilya works closely with the Capstone center book.

Prior to Capstone, Ilya was a senior macro strategist at Standard Chartered Bank, with a focus on emerging markets. Before that, Ilya spent the first decade of his career at Argonaut Capital Management, a discretionary global macro hedge fund. In addition, Ilya has provided macroeconomic consulting to clients including Economist Intelligence Unit, Predata, and the US government.

Ilya holds a Master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics-economics from Brown University.

James (“Jos”) Shaver, Managing Partner / Chief Investment Officer, Electron Capital

Mr. Shaver has 30 years of experience covering the global infrastructure and utility sectors, during which time he was based in Europe (five years) and Asia (five years). Prior to re-launching Electron in April 2012, Mr. Shaver was a Portfolio Manager at SAC Capital Advisors, where he ran a global infrastructure and utilities book. Prior to that, Mr. Shaver founded Electron Capital Management, a global infrastructure and utilities-focused long/short fund, in 2005. Prior to starting Electron, Mr. Shaver lived in London (2000-2004) where he began his investment career and was a senior investment banker to the major European utilities as a Managing Director of SG Barr Devlin and, prior to that Director of EU utilities at Credit Suisse First Boston/Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Prior to moving to Europe, Mr. Shaver spent five years in Hong Kong (1995 – 2000) focusing on the Asian utilities. He was Head of UBS’ Utility Investment Banking Group (Asia) and, prior to that, the Head of Project Finance Debt (Asia). Before moving to Asia, Mr. Shaver was a Team Leader in UBS’ global project finance group in New York where he advised/arranged and structured several notable financings in the independent power and mining sectors in the US and Latin America.

Mr. Shaver received a BA in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University and an MBA in Finance and Accounting (double major) from Columbia Business School.

Jamie Fahy, Head of Global Macro Strategy, Citi

Jamie Fahy is the Head of the Global Macro Strategy team based in London. In his role, Jamie assists in developing broad macro themes, cross asset class analysis and offers trade ideas aimed at macro hedge funds and other leveraged or macro-oriented investors. Specifically, he covers Fixed Income, FX, Equity and Commodity markets from a big-picture, top-down perspective. Prior to his time in Citi research, Jamie traded G10 FX in Citi. Jamie is a CFA Charterholder, has attained a first-class MSc Finance from the University College Dublin and holds a first-class Economics undergraduate degree from the University of Limerick.

Jason Hubschman, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Products and Solutions, Lyxor Americas

Jason Hubschman joined Lyxor Americas as Head of Product Development and Financial Engineering in March 2018 and became Chief Operating Officer and Head of Products and Solutions in November 2018. From 2006 to 2018, Mr. Hubschman held various roles within Deutsche Bank Group. Most recently, he was a Director within the Global Investment Solutions team within Global Markets responsible for structuring alternative investment and risk premia solutions for institutional clients. Prior to that role, Mr. Hubschman served as Head of Product of the Quantitative Risk Solutions group within Deutsche Asset Management where he helped co-found the firm’s Alternative Risk Premia Investment Platform. Mr. Hubschman joined Deutsche Asset Management in 2006 as the Head of Structuring for the Structured Products Group in the Americas. From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Hubschman was the Head of Platform Management for the Private Investor Products (retail structured products) group within ABN AMRO, Inc. Mr. Hubschman began his career as an Associate within the Structured Finance and Derivatives Practice of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP.

Mr. Hubschman holds a B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany, an M.B.A. from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, and a J.D. from New York Law School.

Jeff Barnett, Partner and Chief Financial Officer, Dorsal Capital

Jeff Barnett has been Chief Financial Officer and Partner of Dorsal Capital since the firm’s founding in June 2009. He directs all aspects of the firm’s operations including trading, systems, human resources, client relations, marketing, and compliance. Prior to joining Dorsal, he was a co-founder, partner and CFO of Boston-based Granite Point Capital, where he had similar responsibilities. Prior to joining Granite Point, Jeff was vice president of venture-backed software company StarMine (now part of Thomson Reuters), where he spearheaded the development of new software tools from concept to post-sales support for global clients including UBS and Merrill Lynch. Before StarMine, he was a Vice President in the institutional equities division of Credit Suisse First Boston. Jeff is a board member of the San Francisco chapter of the Financial Executives Alliance and has been a featured speaker at a number of industry conferences. He graduated with honors from Saint John's University (Minnesota) with a double major in music and political science and later earned an MBA from Stanford University, from which he has twice received awards for outstanding volunteer service.

Madlen Dorosh, Managing Director, NAM Head of Prime Brokerage and FCX Origination Sales

Madlen Dorosh is a Managing Director and head of the NAM Prime Brokerage, Futures, OTC Clearing, and FXPB Sales Team at Citi. She has 22 years of industry experience.

Prior to Citi, between 2009 and 2014, Madlen worked at RBS where she was a Managing Director in charge of NAM PB sales (focusing on intermediation, FXPB, and OTC Clearing). She spent the first 10yrs of her career in Dresdner Kleinwort, where she ran the collateralized financing sales team in the Americas from 2005 to 2009 and prior to that was a strategic solutions derivatives marketer in EMEA, based in London.

Madlen holds a Masters in Finance degree from London Business School and a Business Administration degree from Sofia University, Bulgaria.

Mederic Gehl, Director, Head of Delta One Index & Customs Sales APAC, Citi

Mederic Gehl is Director, Head of Delta One Index & Customs Sales APAC.

He leads sales & structuring for Delta One solutions in Asia.

Mederic joined Citi in 2017 as Head of Citi Investment Strategies (CIS) origination in APAC, then moving into Delta One. Before the current position, Mederic held multiple equity derivatives sales positions in BNP Paribas, Natixis and Deutsche Bank in New York, Paris, Singapore and Hong Kong.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Panthéon-Assas University Paris II and in Finance from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.

Michael Weaver, Director of Business Strategy, Voloridge Investment Management

C. Michael Weaver is the Director of Business Strategy at Voloridge Investment Management. In this role he is primarily responsible for business growth and development, focusing on the deployment of proprietary analytics to capitalize on new market opportunities. Prior to joining Voloridge, Mr. Weaver served in a number of executive roles at Citadel LLC and BlackRock. Prior to that, Mr. Weaver was a Senior Founding Partner at R3 Capital Partners, a credit focused hedge fund that was acquired by BlackRock. Mr. Weaver also serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute for Innovation in Public School Choice as well as the Advisory Board of the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at the NYU Langone Health and the Luskin School for Public Policy at UCLA.

Mike Woollatt, Managing Director, Head of Canada, Hamilton Lane

Mike Woollatt is a Managing Director in Hamilton Lane’s Client Solutions Group and Head of Canada. He previously worked on the Fund Investment and Direct Equity team.

Prior to joining Hamilton Lane in 2019, Mike was a Director at OMERS pension plan in the venture capital and growth equity groups. Prior to OMERS, Mike was the CEO of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association. He has also co-founded a management consulting firm and has held senior executive roles at a few major Canadian corporations.

Prior to entering the private sector, Mike worked for the Government of Canada, first as a research economist and then as a political and policy advisor to the Minister of Finance. Mike has also worked overseas as an economist on World Bank funded international development projects and taught economics at the university level. Mike is a frequent commentator on both broadcast and print media on the state of the Canadian private capital markets.

Mike holds a Masters in Economics from the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Ranjan Bhaduri, Chief Executive Officer, Bodhi Research Group

Dr. Ranjan Bhaduri leads Bodhi Research Group, which is an independent and unconflicted firm that conducts advisory and consulting in alternative investments. Bodhi Research Group has served ten Canadian pensions, and has had clients in five of the seven continents. Dr. Bhaduri is recognized globally as an authority in alternative investments.

He has over twenty years of experience including serving on an investment committee at Morgan Stanley where he conducted investment due diligence and helped construct customized portfolios of alternative investments.

Dr. Bhaduri has held an Advisory position at the East-West Center, a leading think tank on the Asia-Pacific Region. He has lectured on derivatives for the Montreal Exchange, and been invited by the CME to be part of a special delegation that met with regulators in Beijing and Taipei to discuss hedge fund issues. Dr. Bhaduri has guest lectured on mathematics and finance at several universities, spoken in industry conferences globally, and published several papers. Dr. Bhaduri has previously served on the AIMA Canada Board of Directors, and is currently a CAIA Canada Executive. Dr. Bhaduri holds both the CFA and CAIA charters.

Richard Schimel, Co-CIO, Cinctive Capital

Richard Schimel is the Co-Founder and Co-CIO of Cinctive Capital Management. Rich has over 30 years of experience in the investment management industry. Previously Rich was Head of Aptigon Capital, a division of Citadel, where he served on the firm’s Portfolio Committee. Rich founded Sterling Ridge Capital in 2013 and oversaw all firm activity, including management of the investment portfolio. Rich co-founded Diamondback Capital with Larry Sapanski in 2005. He co-managed the firm as well as portions of the firm’s best ideas portfolio. Prior to Diamondback, Rich began his buy-side career at SAC Capital where he was a portfolio manager from 2000 to 2005. Rich started his career in fixed income at PaineWebber in 1990. Rich graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics. Rich serves as President of “A Little Hope,” a nonprofit focused on childhood grief counseling and bereavement support.

Stephen Harvey, Chief Investment Officer, Titan Advisors

Stephen Harvey joined Titan Advisors in 2015 following Titan’s acquisition of Saguenay Strathmore Capital, Ltd. Stephen is the Chief Investment Officer and chairs the Investment Committee. Stephen is responsible for portfolio construction and manager research across the Titan portfolios. He joined Strathmore Capital in 2005 (later Saguenay Strathmore) where he held various hedge fund research and risk duties. In 2000, Stephen joined the risk analytics team at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board, where he worked on hedge fund risk aggregation. Stephen graduated with a B.A. in business and economics from York University in 2000. He has been a CFA Charterholder since 2003.

William Wade, Managing Director, Americas Head of Securities Lending, Citi

William Wade is a Managing Director, and Head of Securities Lending desk for the Americas at Citi. Mr. Wade has 34 years total of experience in the industry. He has spent 23 of those years at Citi and is now a Managing Director.

Prior to joining Citi in 1999, Mr. Wade specialized in Prime/Equity Finance at a few other firms. Those firms include Bankers Trust (1998 –1999), Legg Mason (1994-1998), as well as JC Bradford & Co (1989-1994).

In his current role, Mr. Wade oversees the Securities Lending Trading and Sales-Trading teams.

Mr. Wade meets with FINRA/SEC on regulatory matter. Billy is actively involved with the recruitment/development of junior talent.

Xavier Urli, Head of Investments, Innocap

As the Head of Investment, Xavier is responsible for the development of new investment solution and insightful investment transparency.

Xavier was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Innocap Global Investment Management. During his tenure at Innocap Global since 2010, Xavier was responsible for all aspects of the investment manager. That included the underwriting and implementation of alternative and plain vanilla strategies; liquidity management; hedging and relationship with the local regulatory authority. Prior to joining Innocap, he held the Portfolio Manager functions within the Structured Note and the FoHF group at Desjardins Global Asset Management. Xavier earned a Master’s degree in Physics from Université de Montréal.
