Hungarian team has a key role in global rollout of GenAI tools at Citi
BUDAPEST, HUNGARY – August 22, 2025 – AI Accelerators from Citi Hungary support Citi’s global generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) adoption strategy, putting AI tools in the hands of colleagues across the globe to boost productivity.
Adding to its pivotal role in the global Citi network, Citi Hungary is now home to a dynamic team of AI Accelerators. These volunteer ambassadors are crucial in facilitating in-country tool adoption and are driving on-the-ground change. From July 2025, the Hungary AI Accelerator team shares their expertise to support the adoption across 18 countries, including the Central European cluster (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Romania, and Slovakia).
Hungary was among the first 11 countries globally and in the Central Europe region to receive Citi's new GenAI tools in December 2024. The local franchise has successfully adopted the new tools to empower its over 3,000 employees across its banking operations and Citi Solutions Center in Budapest.
The tools include:
- Citi Stylus: A robust productivity tool providing immediate insights from documents. It offers summarization, comparison, and intelligent question answering for quick information extraction and informed decisions.
- Citi Stylus Workspaces: The next generation of Citi Stylus, leveraging conversational AI to streamline tasks. It assists in drafting emails, creating speaker notes, summarizing documents, and developing Q&A materials, simplifying complex work and enhancing productivity.
- Citi Assist: A desktop assistant helping colleagues navigate Citi's policies and procedures. Currently, it searches Citi documents, with plans to expand its content, ensuring quick access to critical information, compliance, and risk minimization.
"Our journey with AI is a testament to Citi's unwavering commitment to innovation. Using these new tools signify a fundamental shift in how we empower our colleagues, streamline operations, and reinforce Citi's position as a leading digital bank.” said Károly Kodaj, Head of Citi Solutions Center Budapest.
Approximately 156,000 Citi colleagues across 51 countries currently have access to these advanced tools, with continued expansion planned throughout the year.
