Aftab Ahmed Hungary's Citi Country Officer receives the Pro Facultate Award of the Corvinus University of Budapest

Aftab Ahmed, Citi Country Officer for Hungary was presented the 2014 Pro Facultate Award of the Corvinus University of Budapest at the Convocation Ceremony of the Faculty of Business Administration on September 18, 2014 at the University Campus.

Prof. Zsolt Rostoványi, Rector of the University, Dr. Zoltayné Dr. Zita Paprika, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, and Dr. Attila Fiáth, Professor at the Department of Enterprise Finances handed over the award to Aftab Ahmed in recognition of his outstanding activity in support of the Faculty of Business Administration.

In his laudatory speech, Professor Fiáth who is Program Manager of the Citi-Corvinus University Education Program thanked Mr. Ahmed for his commitment and engagement in supporting the Faculty’s endeavor to enhance the level of education and provide development support to the students. He praised him for setting an encouraging example in terms of going beyond philanthropy by devoting his time and skills, sharing his experience and advice to the benefit of young people.

Aftab Ahmed, Citi Country Officer for Hungary said, "I am thrilled and honored to be the recipient of this highly prestigious award. It represents Citi's strong commitment to education and to playing an active ongoing role in supporting community and social responsibility initiatives. The engagement with Corvinus University has provided us with an opportunity to help students and professionals."

The prestigious Pro Facultate Award of the Faculty of Business Administration was established in 2010 as an acknowledgement for outstanding public efforts and exceptional contributions that have enhanced the Faculty's academic and public recognition. The annual award winners in the business and academic domain are selected by the Faculty Council based on nominations from professors of the university.
