Batara Sianturi, Citi Country Officer for Hungary said, “We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Istvan Bodocs as our 50,000th credit card customer and are very grateful for his trust in Citi. We consider this a great milestone that reinforces our commitment to continuously innovate to meet the diverse financial and lifestyle needs of our customers. We were the first bank in the Hungarian market to offer a credit card in 1998 and since then we have been leading in innovation, including such unique functionalities as the Equal Payment Plan, or Loan on Phone and Advanced Loan on Phone, just to mention a few that provide preferential interest rates and even further, easy-to-access preapproved funds to help our customers manage their financial goals.”

Jon Wiggins, Consumer Business Manager for Hungary also remarked, “A most recent innovation related to our Citi Life Credit Card was the launch of the first Sticker in the Hungarian credit card market last October. Also, in response to customer needs we created our reward program to provide a 3 percent return on food retail purchases, a 2 percent return on petrol spends and a 1 percent return on all other retail purchases across Hungary, in addition to the opportunity to collect Citi Forints and discounts between 2-15 percent at more than 800 shops of our 22 Citi Life Program Partners. The number of PayPass terminals in Hungary is growing rapidly, currently reaching 15 thousand outlets that gives an increasing opportunity to our customers to experience the benefits of fast and easier shopping with their Sticker.”
