Citi in Hungary

With a more than 35-year history of presence, ingenuity and leadership in Hungary, today, Citi Hungary operates as a unique global bank providing a wide range of world-class products and services to large local corporations, SMEs, multinational clients, financial institutions and the public sector. Together with the Citi Solution Center Budapest – established in 2005, providing services in various areas of Technology, Operations, Finance, and Risk & Control for Citi-entities worldwide – more than 2,200 employees work for Citi in Hungary

In line with Citi's global corporate social responsibility strategy, our community programs in Hungary primarily focus on enhancing the entrepreneurial and employability skills of students and young people.

Citi in Hungary has been operating as a branch office of the Irish based Citibank Europe plc since January 2009 as Citibank Europe plc Hungarian Branch Office. As a branch of Citibank Europe plc, we are part of a European entity with a larger balance sheet and a greater lending capacity that makes us an even stronger partner for our clients in Hungary.

2019 Citi Solutions Center Budapest and CSC Poland jointly won the award for Top US Financial Services Investor in CEE at the third annual USA-Europe Business Services Summit & Awards Gala held in New York on 19 September 2019.
2018 Citi Service Center Budapest is awarded by CEE Business Magazine and received the leading award in the Top US SSC Investor in Hungary category on June 20, 2018

Péter Szíjjártó, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade awarded Kevin A. Murray, Citi’s CEO for Central-Europe and Country Head for Hungary with the Officer’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit on April 18, 2018
