Sandeep Dave is a Director with the Global Digital Strategy group at Citi where he works across Citi businesses to develop digital strategies and drive Citi's digital transformation. Sandeep has held a number of senior technology, consulting and business roles across North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to Citi, Sandeep worked for Booz and Company, a leading general management consulting firm, where he held several leadership roles including standing up its India business. Prior to that, Sandeep has been an entrepreneur and has held multiple roles in the hi-tech industry. Sandeep has done extensive work in assessing the impact of digital technologies on various industries incl. digitizing money flows and the associated economic and social impact. He is the author of the report "Getting ready for digital money: a roadmap" and a frequent speaker on this topic. Sandeep graduated from Mumbai University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computers. Dr. Ruth Goodwin-Groen Managing Director, Better Than Cash Alliance |
Dr. Ruth Goodwin-Groen is the Managing Director of the UN-housed Better Than Cash Alliance, leading its efforts to accelerate the global shift from cash to digital payments by governments, companies and international organizations. The digitization of payments continues her work on poverty reduction as it helps to increase transparency, efficiency and provide a pathway to financial inclusion, driving inclusive growth. Dr. Goodwin-Groen’s represents Better Than Cash Alliance at the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion, is a member of the World Economic Forum Financial Inclusion Steering Committee and a member of the Reference Group of the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. Prior to joining the Better Than Cash Alliance, Dr. Goodwin-Groen was the Australian Co-Chair of the G20’s Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion and the Financial Services for the Poor Adviser at the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID). Goodwin-Groen has also advised leading organizations in the field of financial inclusion including the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor, the World Bank Group, the Soros Foundation, the UK Department for International Development, the FinMark Trust (South Africa), the German Technical Cooperation, Women’s World Banking, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as well as Cambridge University in over 15 different countries including in Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Thomas J Harrington Chief Information Security Officer, Citi |
Mr. Harrington joined the management team at Citigroup as Chief Information Security Officer in July 2012. With 27 years of law enforcement and national security experience, T.J. Harrington, the former Associate Deputy Director of the FBI is a recognized leader in the global law enforcement and intelligence communities. He now heads a organization within Citi focused on critical risk areas of Information Security, and Anti-Money Laundering Operations. His focus has been to enhance the safety and soundness of the firm by implementing an intelligence-led, threat focused approach to create a strong defense network to protect Citi and its clients. As the Associate Deputy Director, he served as the Chief Operating Officer for the FBI responsible for the development and execution of the FBI’s diverse mission strategy across a workforce of 36,000 with an operating budget in excess of $10 billion. He had direct executive oversight for the FBI’s Information Technology, Information Security, Physical Security, Human Resources Division, Training Division, Records Management Division, Inspection Division & Internal Audit, Finance Division, Facilities Management Operations, and the Strategy and Planning Office. In 2009, Mr. Harrington served as the Executive Assistant Director of the FBI’s Criminal, Cyber, Response and Services Branch (CCRSB). The CCRSB is the largest operational branch in the FBI, overseeing the administrative and operational efforts against 70,000 investigations and the use of 360 law enforcement task forces. He was instrumental in introducing to new concepts designed to create an intelligence-led organization including piloting the creation of Hybrid Criminal Squads, Threat Fusion Cells and new performance metrics designed to illustrate community impact within the FBI’s top priorities. Following the Terror Attacks of September 11, 2001, Mr. Harrington was asked to take a leadership role in the expansion of the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division and the creation of the National Security Branch. Mr. Harrington was part of the leadership team that guided the FBI through an unprecedented time of development, expansion and transformation. He was responsible for the creation of the National Threat Center Section, the 24/7 Counterterrorism Watch Center, and the expansion of the national network of Joint Terrorism Task Forces. Mr. Harrington introduced the FBI to the principals and methodology of the Balanced Scorecard. He transformed the strategic planning and execution process within the Counterterrorism Division and championed this process to an enterprise level for the FBI. Mr. Harrington’s success in developing strategy, creating alignment and pursuing organizational change within the FBI was recognized with his receipt of the Presidential Rank Award of Distinguished Executive from President Bush and the Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive from President Obama.
Mr. Harrington is a member of the Citi’s Operations & Technology (O&T) Operating Committee, Management Committee and the Operation Risk Council.
Mr. Harrington received a B.S. in Accounting from Mount St. Mary’s University and is an Honors Graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, American Bankers Association, University of Delaware. |

Iddo de Jong is Senior Expert in the DG Market Infrastructure & Payments of the European Central Bank and currently responsible for policy development on SEPA for cards and innovative payment solutions (payment initiation services, e-commerce payments, and virtual currency schemes). Working in central banking as of 2000, first at De Nederlandsche Bank, and at the ECB as of October 2006, he has worked on various retail payments issues (payment infrastructures, cards and other payment instruments, standardisation, innovation, security, as well as in offering payment system services to commercial banks). Starting his professional career at the Ministry of Transport, he worked on the economic benefits of transport infrastructure, held a management position and was counsellor to one of the top-managers. He holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. |

He serves on the steering committee of the Quantitative Evaluation of Systems conference series, is an editor of Performance Evaluation Journal, and has served as general or program chair of numerous conferences and workshops related to quantitative modelling and analysis. Morgan H. McKenney Global Business Head, Cross-Currency Payments, Treasury and Trade Solutions |
Morgan is the global business head for cross-currency payments at Citi which helps corporate, financial institutions and public sector clients make payments globally to empower their business. Prior to this role she was the Chief Operating Officer of Global Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) at Citi. Previously she served as the COO for Transaction Services in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and prior to that served as the Chief Financial Officer of Citi Transaction Services globally. Before this role, she was the Chief of Staff for Robert Druskin, Chief Operating Officer of Citigroup. She began her career at Citigroup in the Strategy group of the Corporate and Investment Banking division. Before joining Citigroup, Morgan worked in the New York office of London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) in a strategic relationship management role. Prior to LIFFE, she traded equities and derivatives for Martin “Buzzy” Schwartz, an independent trader based in Boca Raton, Florida. She began her career as a Management Associate at Capital One Financial in Richmond, Virginia. Morgan received a BA in Computer Science from Amherst College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a William Pitt member of Chatham House and member of Council on Foreign Relations, a US-based non- partisan organization focused on US policy issues. |

Aditya Menon Managing Director, Digital Strategy, Citi |
Aditya Menon is Managing Director of Citi, Global Digital Strategy. A three-time entrepreneur in transaction, retail banking, and payments systems, Aditya’s background has spanned opportunities with Sungard, ACI Worldwide and Obopay. As global head of product management at Obopay, he pioneered mobile payments rollouts in India (Nokia Money), Africa (Yu Cash) Kenya, (Warid Pesa) Uganda and (Yoban Tel) Senegal. In addition, Aditya helped successfully raise over $80MM in funding at Obopay, and spearheaded the launch of Yes Bank in India, now a leading retail and commercial bank in the country. Since 2011, Aditya has been driving global digital strategy at Citi with a focus on digital disruption across consumer and corporate banking, mobile and digital payments, data analytics and dynamic offers. More recently, Aditya has been driving API strategy & architecture, open banking strategy, banking value added services, and closely collaborating on digital acceleration programs that promote innovation through labs and hackathons. In his current assignment, Aditya is working on a Consumer digital engagement framework to leverage big-data insights to drive next best action, establish dynamic personalization, and provide strategic technology direction on digital platforms to Citi’s global financial technology initiatives. |

Ken has 20+ years experience in International Financial Services across retail and corporate banking. Working for some of the world’s leading financial services companies, Ken has lived and worked in over 15 countries and held executive leadership roles in Product Management, Technology Delivery and Business Development. Ken joined Citi in 2008 and established Citi’s first global innovation lab and subsequently partnered with others to roll this model out to create a network of collaborative innovation centres across Citigroup globally. As Head of Citi Innovation Labs, Ken’s role is to lead the team to: conceive, develop and launch new ventures and services that disrupt and transform the financial services industry; introduce new practices and capabilities into Citi that drive incremental value; create brand differentiation by engaging with clients and partners in the delivery of Citi’s innovation agenda. Asad Naqvi Managing Director, Apis Partners |
Asad Naqvi is a Managing Director at Apis Partners, a private equity fund specializing in financial services investments across growth markets. At Apis, Asad is actively involved in originating, executing and managing the firm’s financial sector investments. Prior to Apis, Asad had over 14 years of experience in private equity investing and corporate finance. Asad was a Partner at Wolfensohn Fund Management, a private equity fund focused on financial services and emerging markets, and headed the firm’s London office. Harry is Head of Banking at SWIFT. He is responsible for SWIFT’s banking strategy and for managing a series of market initiatives, such as business intelligence, reference data and SWIFT’s corporate connectivity. He has been closely involved in payment system innovation and regulation in EMEA across both banking and securities systems such as TARGET2, TARGET2 for Securities, Euro1. More recently he has been SWIFT Programme Director for the NPP retail payment system in Australia based in Sydney. He has 20 years’ experience in financial markets and market infrastructures globally, designing and managing RTGS systems and SWIFT’s role in RTGS systems. Before joining SWIFT, Harry worked for APACS in the UK, where he project managed the development of CHAPS Sterling RTGS and CHAPS Euro RTGS as well as working on retail payment system development. |

Naveed Sultan is Global Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions in Citi's Institutional Clients Group. With over 25 years of institutional banking experience, Mr Sultan has been at Citi for over 20 years in a range of increasingly senior roles, and currently, is responsible for the business management of Treasury and Trade Solutions globally. This multi-billion business is one of the largest global businesses encompassing multiple integrated solutions within Citi's Institutional Clients Group including: Trade and Supply Chain, Export Agency Finance, Liquidity and Investment Management, Wholesale Cards Services, Information Services, Receivables, consulting and digital services serving public sector clients, corporates and financial institutions, a client base that includes 94% of the top 500 global companies, 700 public sector clients and 600 banks, asset managers and insurance companies in over 120 countries Prior to his appointment to his current role in June 2011, Mr Sultan was the Transaction Services Region Head for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the largest region for this business line with a presence in over 50 markets and a multi-billion dollar revenue base. Mr Sultan has served as a director on the board of LCH Clearnet, Citibank A.S (Turkey) and Citibank Europe Plc. Ruth Wandhöfer Global Head of Regulatory & Market Strategy, Citi |
Ruth Wandhöfer is a regulatory expert in the field of banking and one of the foremost authorities on transaction banking regulatory matters. She is Global Head of Regulatory and Market Strategy for Citi's Treasury and Trade Solutions business. In this role Ruth's key responsibilities include driving regulatory and industry dialogue and developing product and market strategy in line with the evolving regulatory and innovation landscape. Ruth chairs a number of influential industry bodies such as the Global Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs Committee of BAFT, the European Banking Federation Payments Regulatory Expert Group and the European Payments Council (EPC) Payment Security Group. She is also a board member of the EPC, a member of the European Commission Payment Systems Market Expert Group (PSMEG) and a member of the UK Payment Systems Regulator Payments Strategy Forum. In her spare time she mentors FinTech start-ups in London and the US. Ruth was named as one of 2010s 'Rising Stars' by Financial News; named in Management Today's 2011 '35 Women under 35' list of women to watch (Sunday Times), and one of the 100 Most Influential People in Finance 2012 as named by Treasury Risk Magazine. In 2015 she was the recipient of the 'Women in Banking and Finance Award for Achievement'.
