William (Bill) Stanton

CCB Korea Country Business Head

Mr. Stanton heads the Commercial Bank for Citibank in Korea, servicing mid-sized companies with $10MM - $1 Billion in annual sales revenues. The Commercial Bank provides companies across South Korea with a full suite of banking services including loans, cash management, trade, and foreign exchange solutions.

Prior to his role as CCB Korea Country Business Head, Bill led the global sales management strategy for CCB's global business in 25 countries – 2,000 bankers and 500 managers. Located in New York, his responsibilities included Banker and Manager Development, Banker and Manager Sales Execution Support, Banker Measurement, Rewards & Incentives and Visibility. These key initiatives helped CCB develop sophisticated, globally minded bankers, and provided them the infrastructure, metrics and support tools needed to succeed.

Earlier in his career, Bill managed the Product Sales Group within the US Commercial Bank which included both sales and support teams for the key product areas of Cash Management, Trade, Foreign Exchange, Derivatives and Loan Products. His team was also involved in Commercial Training, Sales Reporting/CRM and Compensation Plan design.

Bill joined Citibank in October, 2004 after spending 17 years with a global financial services firm. During his tenure there, he was Managing Director in charge of sales and marketing for the banking unit, Business Financial Services. He also spent two years managing a high net worth wealth management program, and seven years as First Vice President in charge of retirement plans, a business that offered small and medium sized companies 401k and other retirement plan services. Bill started his career in the credit training program at a large, globally recognized bank, and graduated from Princeton University in 1985.
