My Child

What is it:

It is a Special and a unique plan aimed to protect your child. This plan allows you to protect you and your child against the consequences of accidents and ensures that your child has the best chances for education.

The 2 main benefits are:

  • Education allowance payable for 10 years for fatal accident involving parent (owner);
  • Medical reimbursement for injuries sustained by children in an accident.
How it works:
There's no medical exam and you will enjoy immediate coverage from the moment you are enrolled. The purchase of this product is optional and is made available to you by ALICO.

Eligibility:
Customer has to be a Citibank Banking or Card accountholder aged between 18 and 64 years.

What you get:
  • Flexible Coverage. Policies range from AED 5000 & AED 10000 and remain in effect for as long as premiums are paid.

  • Help when you need it. If an accident results in the death or permanent total disability of the parent (customer), ALICO will pay the annual educational allowance for 10 years.

Family Protection Plan

What is it:

Financial impact of an accident can be catastrophic - Family Protection Plan helps to ease the trauma & financial hardship that an accident might cause.

The Family Protection Plan

  • Covers against every day & unforeseen events
  • Covers against fatal or serious injury as a result of an accident.
How it works:
There's no medical exam and you will enjoy immediate coverage from the moment you are enrolled. The purchase of this product is optional and is made available to you by ALICO.

Eligibility:
*Customer has to be a Citibank Banking or Card accountholder
*Customer (and spouse, if applicable) must be between 18 years & 65 years.
*Children above 6 months and under 19 years (or 23 years if a full time student), unmarried and primarily dependent on the insured person.

Secure Wallet

What is it:

Your wallet or your handbag can be lost or stolen any time and you can end up paying for the transactions done fraudulently by someone else. Secure Wallet plan provides coverage against this kind of risk.
It provides (optional) coverage for all the credit cards in your wallet, the keys and identification cards including passport.

Eligibility

All Citibank credit cardholder (except supplementary cardholders) can enroll into the Citibank Secure Wallet plan.

What you Pay

The monthly coverage limits available are;
  1. 1,000 USD monthly coverage (monthly premium 16.75 DHS)
  2. 2,000 USD monthly coverage (monthly premium 24.25 DHS)
Sub-limit for keys per month is 100 USD and sub-limit for identification cards per month is 200 USD
Indemnity in case of Loss of Life or Permanent Total Disability caused by an accident during a theft or robbery of Citibank credit card is of USD 10,000.

What you get:

  • All fraudulent transactions committed within 48 hours on the Citibank cardholder's credit cards; Visa, MasterCard, American Express, as a result of a loss or theft of a card shall be under cover.
  • The coverage starts from the moment the first fraudulent transaction takes place and lasts for 48 hours.
  • The plan refunds the costs incurred by the cardholder to replace the keys and identification cards that are lost or stolen at the same time as the insured credit cards. Loss of Life and Permanent Total Disability benefits are payable in case of accident during a theft or robbery of Citibank credit card. (This additional coverage is restricted to certificate holders between the age of eighteen (18) years and sixty-five (65) years).

What is it?

A Critical illness diagnosis can result in an increased financial burden. The Critical Illness Plan provides a cash lump sum benefit and is a perfect supplemental insurance, should the insured be diagnosed by any one of the 11 critical illnesses:

With the Critical Illness Plan, customers can use their lump sum payment benefits to cover any of the following expenses:

Hospital Care from ALICO General Insurance Division is a unique personal accident and sickness insurance plan that provides daily cash benefit for every day that you or your family is hospitalized due to accident or sickness.

In the event of hospitalization, additional expenses are always incurred and over time they add up. With the Hospital Care Accident and Sickness plan, customers can use their daily cash benefits to cover any of the following additional expenses:

  • Daily Incidentals (e.g. taxi trips, meals, flowers/gifts, etc)
  • Hospital Room Upgrades
  • Physiotherapy
  • Medication

What you get:
Hospital Care pays up to AED 500 per day for everyday of hospitalization with a franchise of 3 days.
 E.g.: There is a franchise of 3 days. Meaning, that the hospital stay must be more than 3 days for the insured to be entitled for any daily benefits. Once the hospital stay exceeds 3 days, the insured receives daily benefits for the all days (retroactively).These daily benefits will be paid out for a maximum of 45 days.
