Enhanced Fund Transfer Service
- How to Use |
To start, just follow the easy steps below.
Step1:
Sign on with your Citibank Online User name and Password.
Step2:
Click on Transfer and Payments icon from the top menu. Click on “Add a Payee” to setup a Payee for the first time.
Step3:
Click on the type of Payee that you wish to add. Payee activation is required for the following types of Payees:
- A Citibank customer in UAE
- Another payee in UAE
- A Citibank customer in another country
Step4:
On this screen you are informed of the new payee activation requirement and easy steps to activate the payee. Click on “Next”
to continue with the Payee setup.
If you are registered onto Citibank Alerting Service, by ticking the checkbox on this screen, you can choose to receive an online
authorization code via SMS on your mobile phone. This code can be used to activate the payee on Citibank Online.

Step5:
Enter the name and account number of the Payee on this screen and click on ‘Next”.
Step6:
Re-enter your Password to setup the Payee and click on “Add this Payee”.
Step7:
This is a confirmation that the Payee has been added successfully. You are also notified of the steps for activating the Payee by
calling CitiPhone Banking or by using the online authorization code on Citibank Online.

Alternatively, you can also activate the payee using CitiPhone Banking:
Steps to activate the payee using Citiphone Banking:
1. Call +9714 311 4000, select the language of your choice and press 1 for Services.
2. Enter your 16-digit Citicard number followed by your TPIN*.
3. Select the option for Banking Services
4. Press 5 to Activate Payee and follow the instructions.
Once you have activated the payee, you can execute the funds transfer on Citibank Online.
