Enhanced Sign On Process - Help
Presenting a more secure online banking experience - Sign on with a User name and Password

First Time Users - Registration

In the new sign-on procedure, instead of using Debit Card/Citicard/Credit Card number and ATM PIN to access Citibank Online, you will be asked to create your own User Name and Password. For creating User Name and Password, you will be asked to enter your Debit Card/Citicard/Credit Card number and ATM PIN. You will also select 5 secret questions of your choice from a list of 15 questions and register answers for these 5 questions.

Entry of ATM PIN, User Password and answers to secret questions will be done through a Virtual Keyboard.

Please note that you will need to go through this process once. For subsequent sign-on to Citibank Online, you will be asked to enter your User Name, Password and answer to any one randomly selected security question out of the 5 questions selected at the time of registration.

If you forget your Password

You can reset your password by clicking on the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the initial sign on screen. You will first be asked to validate yourself by entering your User Name, Debit card/CitiCard/Credit Number and ATM PIN. And before resetting your password, you will also be asked to enter the answer to any one randomly selected security question.

If you forget your User Name

You can request for a reminder of your User Name through the initial sign-on screen by clicking on the ‘Forgot User Name’ link where you will be asked to enter your Debit Card/Citicard/Credit Card number and ATM PIN.

What is a screen keyboard? What are the advantages of a screen keyboard?

One of the most common security threats is from malicious software that records your keystrokes and sends them to fraudster. This malicious software is called a "keyboard logger". By having a screen keyboard where you enter your password with your mouse instead of typing it in the likelihood that your details can be obtained this way is greatly eliminated. We also recommend that you should have up-to-date anti-virus and firewall software at the same time. A firewall will alert you if there is an attempt to write malicious software to your PC.
