If I have both a bank account and a credit card, which card should I use to access Citibank Online?

If you have a Credit Card and a Bank Account with Citibank, please use your Citicard number to login as this will allow you to view your full relationship with Citibank.
If you have more than one credit card, you will see details of only the card with which you logged on.

How do I get a Cash Withdrawal PIN, if I don't have one?

Just click on the link on the screen. It will direct you to a guide showing you how to enable the feature. Just follow the steps; you should not see the same error screen in your next logon.

How do I ensure my Citibank Online transactions are safe?
To make sure your Citibank Online transactions are secured, check for the Security options on your browser.

If you are using Netscape Navigator ver 4.0 or higher do the following :
1. Click on the Security Icon on the toolbar on top of your browser to open the Security Information page.
2. Click on Navigator on the left.
3. Look for Advanced Security (SSL) Configuration
4. Select both SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) ver 2 & 3
5. Click on Configure SSL v2 and select both options listed.
6. Click OK.
7. Click on Configure SSL v3 and select the first four options listed (below).
8. Click OK.

If you are using Internet Explorer ver 4.0 or higher do the following :
1. Click on View - Internet Options
2. Click on the Advanced Tab
3. Scroll down to Security. Ensure the SSL 2.0 & 3.0 are selected.

How can I be sure that my information and account data are securely sent through Citibank Online?

Citibank currently offers 3 levels of security to help safeguard your financial information :

1. Strong Encryption (128-bit) :
All data sent to and from Citibank is 'scrambled' and 'reassembled' between Citibank and your personal computer to protect your personal and financial information. 128-bit encryption, the highest level of of encryption commercially available, means there are
2128 possible combinations of 'keys' but only one that will 'unlock' the information.

2. Personal Identification Number (PIN) :
Your PIN must be entered every time you sign on to Citibank Online. Remember, always keep your PIN confidential.

3. Automatic Time Out :
There is a security feature intentionally built-in to the system. When there is no activity for 5 minutes, Citibank will terminate your secure Citibank Online session to help protect against unauthorized access.

How can I verify that the Citibank Online pages belong to Citibank?

You can check by following these steps :
1. Click on the image of the lock or a key at the bottom of the browser window when you have reached the page that needs your PIN input.
2. You will see the Security Info page.
3. Click on View Certificate
4. You will see the Certificate page which tells you that the page on Citibank Online is encrypted.
