Citi Goes Beyond Plastics, Demonstrates
New Products at GSA Conference

A leader in payments innovations, Citi introduced its newest suite of technology tools at Beyond Plastics, the GSA-hosted SmartPay® 2 Technology and Innovation Conference. Held in Washington, D.C., on May 12, 2009, it drew nearly 1,000 attendees.

Citi’s participation in the conference included training classes for Prepaid/Stored Value Services and Alternative Payment Services, and product demonstrations at our touch-screen kiosks. Citi products featured included:

Citi Procure-to-Pay®: An automated electronic payments solution that seamlessly links all parts of the accounts payable process, Citi Procure-to-Pay® increases operational efficiencies and cost-savings.

  • Buyer Initiated Purchasing Cards: Securely connects buyers and suppliers by integrating and using the card platform/infrastructure in a more secure way, without the need to share 16-digit account numbers. By initiating the payment, the buyer gets more control over the purchase.

Program Optimization: Research-based recommendations deliver visible cost-savings, efficiencies and control over spend.

Virtual Card Services: A complement to existing commercial card programs, Citi’s virtual card services increase transaction security and control. Instead of a physical card, unique virtual account numbers are generated with controls pre-set by the cardholder, and used for "cardholder not present" transactions such as online, telephone, mail order and post-invoice payments.

Prepaid Services/Stored Value Services: Citi Prepaid Services allow clients to automate all payments and easily manage multiple programs on one platform, using one comprehensive solution.
