Conference attendees Glorina Tukes and Tabitha Stephens select training sessions.

Titled "Success is in the Cards: A Decade of Achievement," the 11th Annual SmartPay Training Conference was held July 28-30 in Phoenix, AZ. Over 5,200 U.S. Government Agency Program Coordinators (APCs) attended. Citi was proud to participate, providing a mix of classes, lectures, panel discussions and more hands-on training than ever before. During the three-day conference, Citi offered 160 sessions in a unique training structure with agency-customized presentations.

Our clients made the most of the opportunity to enhance their skills, share best practices and network with peers. Comprising 60% of conference registrants, 3,139 Citi clients participated in 47 classes, including 18 hands-on computer classes. Citi offered a wide range of training sessions, including:

  • One-on-one labs
  • Technology mini-sessions
  • Pre-conference training
  • Navigating sessions
  • General sessions/lectures
  • Hands-on training

Track Course Structure: Curriculum by Component

Citi's agency-designated tracks and scheduling provided targeted curriculum and individual attention.

  • Attendees followed schedules specific to their agency
  • Curriculum was alternated in terms of course and location for seating efficiency
  • Agency-specific content provided personalized experience
  • Class flow was alternated between lecture and hands-on to maximize client experience

Looking Ahead to 2010

Citi would like to thank our clients for attending the conference, and for providing important feedback that we will use to plan and design next year’s conference. We are pleased that so many attendees found the conference a rewarding experience, and we look forward to working with you again next year.
