Citigroup Hosts Conference for Regional Financial Institution Correspondent Banks in Asia Pacific

April 7, 2006 — Citigroup, the world’s preeminent financial institution and global leader in transaction banking, held a very successful client conference titled “Partnering for Growth” for its regional Financial Institution Correspondent Banking clientele. Over 130 delegates representing 68 of Asia’s leading banks from 13 countries attended the conference, which took place between March 27 and 30 in Bangkok.

The agenda included a wide range of topics including; a review of the global economic outlook with an emphasis on the Asian markets, a perspective on the “Future of Financial Services in Asia”, the latest industry developments in Swift and CLS and their impact on Asian financial institutions, and the European Union’s changing payments infrastructure.

Delegates were also updated on Citigroup’s comprehensive suite of Cash Management and Trade solutions including USD Clearing, European Clearing, Cross-Border payments, and trade outsourcing. Discussions on risk management and corporate governance rounded out the agenda.
