Citigroup rolls out Retail Transfer Agency business in Asia Pacific

Hong Kong – March 14, 2006 — Citigroup recently added retail transfer agency to its array of product offerings for asset managers in Asia Pacific. With the launch of this product, Citigroup’s Fund Services now has the capability and track record to support clients in the region, both at the retail investor level and at distributor level.

This service offers fund managers access to Citigroup’s full range of products and services to support their needs. The service also provides support for offshore funds distributed in the region such as those from Luxembourg, Dublin and the Cayman Islands.

Transfer agency services provide crucial back office services to fund managers; by outsourcing back office management, clients can focus on growing and developing their business without having to worry about back office management. Providing a retail transfer agency service requires constant interfacing between fund managers, distributors, operation centres, system support, call centres and other related teams.
