Citigroup Sponsors BTW Spotlight Event; Products Are Highly Commended in BTW Awards
London, 10 February 2005 – Citigroup Global Transaction Services, the business division responsible for the company’s commercial cards offerings, has demonstrated its ongoing commitment to showing organisations that it is the choice of company commercial card providers. With this in mind, the company has made a significant investment in sponsoring the Business Travel World Spotlight Event at the end of February.
This Spotlight Event is aimed at key decision makers in the field of corporate travel and is highly regarded as the place for them to meet peers, suppliers and partners. Details of the event, to be held on 23rd and 24th February 2005, can be found at http://www.btwspotlight.com.
In addition, Citibank Commercial Cards received a Highly Commended mention in the Expense Management Process category at the BTW Awards. Details of the mention that be found at http://www.btwawards.com/winners05.asp.
This ongoing activity by Citigroup is designed to reach its target customers in multi-national organisations and demonstrate that they do have a choice when it comes to international commercial cards programmes. The company is focusing on highlighting its global reporting and management functionality, as well as its unrivalled acceptance rates across the world.
Citibank has three commercial card products available in Europe: the Corporate Card, which can be used for corporate travel and entertainment expenses; the Purchasing Card, which provides a simplified procurement and payment process for a wide range of goods and services; and the One Card that combines the functionality, features and benefits of the Corporate and Purchasing cards to simplify expense and procurement management.
As a global issuer, Citibank has card programmes in 30 countries worldwide – each issued in local currency and languages and tailored to match local conditions, laws and regulations. Citibank does not rely on local franchises, and manages each programme directly, to ensure efficiency and consistency of service.
