Citi’s Online Platform Named #1 Global/International Provider in Greenwich Associates Online Services Benchmarking Study

New York - April 7, 2011 – Citi today announced that its institutional e-banking platform has been ranked first in Greenwich Associates’ Online Services Benchmarking study. This is the third consecutive year that Citi has received this distinction in the Global/International Provider category of Greenwich Associates Online Services Benchmarking study. Citi’s platform leverages industry-leading technologies to provide capabilities centered on ease of use while giving clients the opportunity to gain greater visibility and control.

In addition to being ranked the #1 Global/International Provider, Citi was highly rated in the following categories:

  • Overall Product Features
  • Country/Regional Management
  • Payments/Receivables
  • Information Access/Reporting

Conducted by Greenwich Associates, an independent research and consulting firm, the annual Online Services Benchmarking study evaluates online banking applications provided by leading banks. Greenwich Associates analyzed each provider’s platform and ranked them based on more than 40 individual performance criteria including usability/ease of use, product features, country/regional management, integration/organization, payments/receivables, information access/reporting, and other corporate services. Criteria were then weighted for scoring purposes.

"At Citi, we are committed to helping our clients optimize their business processes by providing increased efficiency, visibility and control while keeping ease of use as a top priority," says Hubert J.P. Jolly, Global Head of Information Services. "These rankings are a testament to Citi’s dedication to innovation and technology, as we continue to evolve our platforms in step with our clients’ changing business needs."

"E-banking platforms targeting corporate and commercial clients globally have evolved remarkably over the past several years to become much more user-centric," says Marc Harrison, a consultant at Greenwich Associates. "Citi’s BE platform and applications that are part of CitiDirect are very strong in breadth of functionality and in terms of the user experience."

Global Transaction Services, a division of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group, offers integrated cash management, trade, and securities and fund services to multinational corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations around the world.
