CITI SECURITIES AND FUND SERVICES ANNOUNCES HIGH-LEVEL APPOINTMENTS TO ELECTRONIC MARKETS BUSINESS (EMEA)
LONDON - September 15, 2010 – Citi's Securities and Fund Services announced today that its Electronic Markets business has appointed a number of experienced industry professionals to senior positions in its global team to enhance its client-facing organization. The business is part of Citi Global Transaction Services, and includes the CitiDirect® suite of products, CitiConnect, Execution-to-Custody and a variety of other connectivity solutions.
Neeraj Sahai, Global Head of Securities and Fund Services at Citi said, "the addition of information industry experts to Citi's Electronic Markets business further demonstrates our commitment to setting and maintaining the industry standard for clearing and settlement infrastructure. We are most interested in tailoring solutions consistent with client requirements; as such we realize the importance of maintaining a complex set of touch points with clients in order to respond to their changing needs."

The group has added 15 new professional staff globally over the past two months, with the following new hires in the EMEA and Asia regions:
Nigel Solkhon, based in London, Intermediary Market Manager, has over 20 years experience in strategy, delivery, relationship management and sales. His prior experience includes roles at IBM, State Street Bank, London Stock Exchange and SWIFT as an acknowledged expert in the Financial Markets.
Igor Gramatikovski, based in London, Investor Market Manager, joined Citi from Markit, where he held Business Development positions for the Credit Data and Portfolio Valuations service, and also was responsible for the Alliance Program in EMEA, working with third party redistribution channels.
Pete Hudson, based in London, Investor Market Manager, has 20+ years of experience working for software and services vendors within the Financial Securities industry. He has held senior executive positions at leading financial technology organizations including Misys, Thomson Financial and Linedata Services and was most recently Director of International Product Management at Omgeo.
Howie San, based in London, Publishing Capability Manager, has been active in the financial services industry for over 20 years. Most recently, he was the EMEA product management director at Dealogic. He brings to Citi a wealth of experience and expertise in front office syndication and trading, market data analytics, and back office operational solutions.
John Carney, based in Dublin, Product Architect, has 15+ years working for software companies servicing the banking and capital markets industry. Prior to Citi he was with IBM Software Group where he was the Global Product Manager responsible for the IBM Industry Data Models product portfolio.
Endre Markos, based in Hong Kong, Electronic Markets and Platforms, spent nearly 15 years at Bloomberg LP; most recently as the Director of Asia-Pacific Data Solutions. He also held various other positions at Bloomberg, and oversaw the development and management of its equity electronic trading platform (EMS) in Asia.
