HONG KONG - March 2, 2010 – Citigroup's Global Transaction Services has named Munir S. Nanji to the role of Managing Director, Regional Head, Bank Services Group (BSG), Asia Pacific and Japan. Based in Hong Kong, Munir will report to Anthony Nappi, Managing Director, Regional Head of Global Transaction Services, Asia Pacific, and to Bharat Sarpeshkar, Managing Director, Global Head of BSG.

Effective immediately, Munir will assume responsibility for managing the BSG business in 18 markets across Asia Pacific. In his new role, Munir will also be responsible for driving team performance, and enhancing both customer and employee satisfaction levels for Citi's BSG business in this region.

Under Munir's leadership, the Citi's BSG business will continue to build on synergies that support and develop deep relationships with regional financial institutional clients. He will also take responsibility for providing financial institution clients with Citi's market-leading and innovative products and solutions. As part of his role, Munir will also ensure that clients in Asia Pacific will better leverage Citi's global capabilities, platforms and infrastructure to drive revenue performance and enhance service quality.

Prior to his new position, Munir served as Citi's Trade Head for Africa and the Head of Global Transaction Services for Nigeria/West and Central Africa. For Citi, Munir has also held an array of senior roles including Head of Global Transaction Services for several markets in Central Europe.
