The Internet Security Specialists team was developed to handle questions
about suspicious email and other online security issues.
While Citi Cards' Identity Theft Specialists
help fraud victims recover, the goal of the ISS team is to prevent
cardmembers from becoming victims.
Our ISS team:
- Investigates the risk of new phishing attempts within 48 hours of
notification.
- Has access to the Internet and can identify if an email or website
is legitimate.
- Maintains a constantly updated list of known fraudulent sites or
email servers.
- Helps consumers identify if their PC is at risk for vulnerabilities.
- Assists customers with claims of virus infection as a result of
a Citi website or email.
- Identifies new Internet scams and notifies the proper authorities.
