Annual fee
Credit cards require an annual fee. This is the
amount you pay for you to own and use a credit card. The annual
fee may be posted to your balance when you open the account and
added each year on the anniversary of your account opening.
Late fees
Make sure you pay your credit card bills on time.
Late payments may affect your credit standing and make it harder
for you to get credit in the future. You may also be charged a late
fee if you don't pay the card company by the due date. One convenient
way of card payment is to arrange for an automatic debit arrangement
with the issuer, if you are maintaining a savings or checking account
with the same bank. A good number of credit card companies also
offer online payment options. Payments made this way are usually
posted to your account within 24 hours, if not on real time.
