Security Notice |
Dear Customer,
Please be aware that imposters may try to gain information about your Citibank account by sending you email requests that may appear to have been generated by Citi. Such fraudulent emails typically request for your personal information and may include attachments as well. The fraudulent email may also provide a web link that will connect you to a Citibank look-alike website.
Such emails may appear to have been sent from a trusted corporation or a friend, but actually intend to deceive/mislead you into downloading a virus, or direct you to a fraudulent website to disclose sensitive information.
We request you to be very cautious of any such communication that requests for your password, National Identity Card number, or any other highly sensitive/security information.
When such hoax emails are sent fraudulently using Citi’s name, the Citibank Global Information Security team works aggressively with law enforcement agencies around the world, to investigate them. However, legal action against such imposters depends on local country legislations.
Important: We would like to remind you that Citi does not request its customers to provide sensitive information via email, therefore please NEVER reply to any messages.
If you have responded to such an email and provided any personal information, please immediately notify us by contacting our 24/7 CitiPhone helpline on 111-222-222. International Callers may call on +92-21-3259-0137.
Please note that Citibank shall not be responsible in any manner incase an unauthorized transaction(s) had already taken place in your account(s) prior to such notification.
