Terms & Conditions

1. Citibank Rewards Program ("CRP") is a Program for Basic Credit Cardmembers ("Cardmembers") of Citibank Visa AND/OR Citibank MasterCard issued by Citibank Pakistan ("Citibank").

2. During the continuation of CRP, you will be awarded 1 Citibank Rewards Point under your Citibank Credit Card account per Rs. 50 (or equivalent foreign currency) charged by you to your relevant Citibank Credit Card account for purchase of goods or services. Citibank reserves the right to change at any time and without prior notice the ratio between (a) a Citibank Rewards Point to be awarded; and (b) the specified amount charged to your Citibank Credit Card account.

3. Charges which are eligible for Citibank Rewards Points are retail transactions like airline tickets, restaurant charges, hotel charges, car rental, service station, mail order and other similar retail charges. Charges which are not eligible for Rewards Points include, but are not limited to, annual / joining Cardmembership fees, interest fees, late payment charges, GST, Cash Advances, charges for Cash Advance, charges for cash payments, interest and/or finance charges, disputed transactions, government charges, foreign currency, travelers cheques or any other kind of charges and penalties and retail transaction made prior to the CRP launch. Citibank may add to, or remove from, the above list of eligible charges and transactions from time to time at its discretion. Citibank's decision as to what constitutes an eligible charge shall be final and conclusive.

4. Citibank Rewards Points awarded to you will be shown in your monthly statement, and be redeemable in such manner as set out in the Citibank Rewards Catalogue for gifts listed in the Citibank Rewards Catalogue (Rewards) which will be dispatched to you. Only Citibank Rewards Points accumulated up to and shown in the latest issued monthly statement or such other date as may be determined by Citibank at its discretion will be redeemable. Details of redemption transactions in each month will appear in your next monthly statement.

5. Citibank Rewards Points accumulated under Citibank Credit Card account are only redeemable by you if your Citibank Credit Card account is open ( i.e. not cancelled or terminated by you or Citibank), is not fraudulently operated, and is current ( i.e. there are no past due balances on your Citibank Credit Card account).

6. Points are not transferable to any other person and are not exchangeable for cash or any other thing of whatsoever nature whether tangible or intangible. However, you may combine points earned on your VISA and MasterCard.

7. Points earned by a Supplementary Cardmember will be credited to the account of the Basic Cardmember and may be used only by the Basic Cardmember for redemption of Rewards.

8. Your Citibank Rewards Points accumulated under your Citibank Credit Card account will be forfeited when your Citibank Credit Card account is closed or is not in good standing in the opinion of Citibank, your Citibank Credit Card account has expired or has ceased to be effective or a breach of the Citibank Card Agreement has occurred. Without prejudice to the foregoing, any Citibank Rewards Points awarded to you which remain unredeemed after such period as Citibank may prescribe from time to time will be forfeited. For this purpose, Citibank Rewards Points accumulated under your Citibank Credit Card acountry corporate officerunt will be deemed to be redeemed in the order they are awarded to you. Any outstanding redemption order for your Citibank Rewards Points which have been forfeited shall not be entertained whether such redemption order is received before or after your relevant Citibank Rewards Points are forfeited.

9. Redemption order for any merchandise or item (a "Product") is subject to Citibank's credit approval and availability of the Product and supplier's restrictions. Citibank may without notice withdraw or substitute any Reward for another Reward of comparable value and nature.

10. At the time of claiming a Reward, you may request Citibank to provide a Reward direct to a person nominated by you. Once a Reward is issued to a nominee the nomination cannot be altered or revoked.

11. Citibank does not act as supplier of the Product. Its role is only to place an order on your behalf and process settlement through your Citibank Credit Card account.

12. Citibank will not be responsible for any damage or loss incurred by you arising out of the purchase, supply, installation, use or otherwise of the Products as for any negligence, breach of statutory or other duty on the part of Citibank.

13. Citibank gives no warranty (whether express or implied) whatsoever with respect to Rewards. In particular but without limitation, Citibank gives no warranty with respect to the quality of Rewards or their suitability or fitness for any purpose.

14. Citibank has taken and will take all reasonable care to ensure that what appears in the Rewards Catalogue is accurate, but does not accept any liability for any inaccuracy contained therein. All descriptions of Rewards in the Rewards Catalogue are based on information provided by suppliers and Citibank cannot accept any liability as to the accuracy of such descriptions.

15. Citibank is entitled at any time and without any prior notice or liability to you in any manner whatsoever to terminate Citibank Rewards or cancel or vary its benefits or features, or vary, or add to or delete any of these Terms and Conditions, or withdraw or change the participants of Citibank Rewards, or modify or limit the value of Citibank Rewards Points and/or the manner of their redemption even though any of such acts may diminish the value of the Citibank Rewards Points already accumulated.

16. Rewards are not exchangeable, refundable, or redeemable for cash or credit under any circumstances, are not replaceable in the event of loss or destruction after being issued and are subject to such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by the issuer of the same.

17. If a Reward arrives damaged or faulty you must notify Citibank within 2 days of its receipt giving full details including the name of the carrier. Citibank will not be responsible for damaged/ defective goods after the said 2 days. It is advisable not to sign for an opened package and return the supplier marked as "unexamined".

18. If the Basic Cardmember's account is terminated at any time for any reason, whether by the Cardmember or Citibank, the Cardmember and Supplementary Cardmember shall forthwith be disqualified from participating in the Program and all unused points then accrued shall automatically be cancelled after two months of the closure of the Cardmember's account.

19. Citibank shall not be liable if it is unable to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions, due directly or indirectly to the failure of any machinery or communication system, industrial dispute, war, Act of God, or anything outside the control of Citibank. Nor shall Citibank be responsible for any delay in the transmission to Citibank of evidence of Rewards Transactions by the participating merchants or any other Third Party.

20. If at any time any dispute arises in connection with either the CRP or these Terms and Conditions Citibank's decision in connection with the same shall be final and binding.
