Procedures of using Credit Card

Credit cards are issued after your account has been approved by the bank. Once the card is activated through Citiphone Banking, cardholders can use it to make purchases at merchants accepting that card or they can also use it for cash withdrawal at ATMs or Branches only.

  • When a purchase is made, the credit card user agrees to pay the bank. Merchant swipes the card over the Point of Sale (“POS”) machine. The cardholder indicates consent to pay by signing a receipt with a record of the card details and indicating the amount to be paid or by entering a personal identification number (PIN).

  • You can also use Credit Card on an ATM to withdraw money against the credit limit extended to the card. Any amount up to 50% of your credit limit is available to you as cash. You can obtain cash advance at more than 700,000 ATM's and financial institutions worldwide displaying the Visa / MasterCard logo.

  • Credit Card can also be used to make transactions on internet. Merchant needs customer’s name on the card, the credit card number and the expiration date, CVV/CVC2 code (back of the card signature panel last 3 digits) to process an online order.
