Citibank Opens 2 New Sales & Service Centers in Karachi
In Line with Its Expansion Plans across the Country
Karachi-Citibank N.A., a member of Citigroup, today announced the opening of two new Sales & Service Centers, each with an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) on Tariq Road and Khayaban-e- Ittehad in Karachi. The two new centers bring the total number of Citibank Sales & Service Centers to 13 in 5 Cities across the country: Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad.
Located strategically to suit Citibank customers at key commercial and residential hubs, the new state-of-the-art facilities offer round-the-clock convenience of cash advances (all VISA and MasterCard credit cards) and cash withdrawal on all ATM cards on MNET/ 1Link networks.
The facilities also serve as an information center for Citibank products and services and will include features such as a Citibank Online terminal giving visitors access to their Citibank account through Internet and a credit card payment drop box. The centers are also open for prospective customers of Citibank, who wish to obtain information or apply for any of Citibank's wide range of consumer products including credit cards, personal loans and auto loans.
Speaking at the opening of the centers, Mr. Robert Law, Pakistan, Middle East and Africa Division Head for Citibank, said: “The new Sales & Service Centers reaffirm Citibank's commitment to the local market and is in line with the bank's expansion plans in Pakistan, including the opening of 6 new full bank branches this year. We are pleased to come closer to our customers here in Karachi, Pakistan’s commercial heart, and to offer them premium quality services in their neighborhood.” Mr. Law added that he will soon announce a new consumer business manager for Pakistan to replace Ahmed Khizer Khan who has recently left the company.
Mr. Zubyr Soomro, Citigroup’s Country Officer in Pakistan, added: “Citigroup plans to expand its operations in Pakistan mainly in the areas of personal banking while it continues to deepen its partnerships with top corporate and public sector clients. This is in line with our stated strategy to identify niche client segments and provide them with world-class banking products and services."
