Citigroup, the preeminent global financial
services company, today celebrates its 10th anniversary
in Kazakhstan. As part of those celebrations Citigroup
is delighted to announce a $20,000 Citigroup Foundation
financial education grant to Junior Achievement (JA
Kazakhstan). Citigroup will also donate a painting by
Kazakh artist NUrbek Tansykbayev to the Kazakh State
Kasteyev Museum.
JA Kazakhstan is a non-profit
interregional organization and the grant from Citigroup
will be used to support educational programs that promote
financial education for young people in the country.
Over the past 10 years JA has assisted more than 200,000
local students through a range of educational programs. |

Citigroup is also pleased to announce
its contribution to the Kazahk State Kasteyev Museum.
Daniel Connelly, Citigroup Country Officer for Kazahstan
was honored to present the painting titled "Morning"
to the gallery. This painting by N. Tansykbayev fills
an important gap in the gallery's prestigious collection.
Kanysh Nurymgereev, JA Kazakhstan Executive
Director, said: "Citigroup is well-known for its commitment
to, and support of, economic and financial education
for young people around the world and we are delighted
to have Citigroup as a partner in Kazakhstan. This grant
will benefit thousands of students ensuring they are
prepared to become well informed consumers, savers and
investors within the further development of Kazakhstan's
prosperous market economy".
