We’re proud that our clients like to recommend our services to others. Because of this, we’re keen to show our thanks whenever you introduce someone new to us.

As an existing client, you’ve already experienced the service, expertise and access to global wealth management products we offer. Now, if you recommend us to someone else who might benefit from our services, and they meet the referral scheme criteria to successfully become a client*, you’ll be eligible to choose from a range of valuable rewards or a cash alternative.

Choose from an ever-changing selection of rewards

Our rewards selection is updated quarterly and includes regular time-limited offers to compliment the main selection of rewards that are available. Rewards for your first successful referral include a Bose Soundlink speaker, a Kindle Fire HD or US$500 cash.

Don’t forget that those with US$1 million available may be eligible for our Citigold Private Client service. Successful referrals to this service, where all applicable qualification criteria is met, entitles you to choose one reward from our selection as well as receiving the equivalent cash sum.

More referrals mean greater rewards

We have second and third reward tiers, each offering a more valuable reward selection and a higher cash alternative. But it doesn’t end there. The scheme has no limit to how many friends you can refer – so once you’ve made your third referral you’ll be entitled to a cash reward of US$1,000 for every subsequent successful referral.

Simple and straightforward

To recommend a friend, simply contact your Relationship Manager or fill out our straightforward online referral form letting us know if you prefer one of our rewards or a cash reward. And remember, if your friend invests in excess of US$1 million and successfully becomes a Citigold Private Client you will receive both the reward of your choice plus the equivalent cash reward.

From there, we’ll do the rest. Once your friend has transferred the minimum Relationship Balance of US$100,000 (US$ 1million for Citigold Private Client) to their new account, you’ll be applicable to receive your reward or cash alternative within one calendar month from the date that the successful referral is confirmed by us.

  1. The following terms and conditions apply to the member referral scheme (the “Scheme”) between October 1st 2014 – December 31st 2015 inclusive. The Scheme is open to all Clients, except Senior Public Officials, who hold an account with Citi International Personal Bank (“Citi”, “we”, “us”) and who are aged 18 and over (“Eligible Client”, “you”, “your”). Employees of Citi and its associated companies, who hold an account with Citi International Personal Bank (“Citi”, “we”, “us”) and who are aged 18 and over (“Eligible Client”, “you”, “your”) and their spouses and dependants, are also eligible for the Scheme. We will regard you as a Senior Public Official if we reasonably believe that you or your relative currently occupies/have occupied or are actively seeking/being considered for a senior position in the government, any department, agency, subsidiary government organisation, or in the political process (e.g. in a political party).

  2. The scheme is subject to a maximum limit of 20 referrals per calendar year. The terms in paragraphs c and d are subject to this limit. If you reach this limit and want to make further referrals you will need our prior consent.

  3. If you refer an eligible new Client (the “referee”) to open a Citigold International account with us, you will receive a reward if the referee opens a Citigold International account (sole or joint) and deposits at least $100,000 within 6 months of the referral date. You will receive a gift, chosen by yourself from the range of gift rewards which we advise you are available at the time of the successful referral or a cash alternative of $500 for your first successful referral. Further, you will receive a gift or cash alternative reward of $750 for your second subsequent successful referral, and a gift or cash alternative reward of $1,000 for your third subsequent successful referral. All successful referrals beyond your third will be rewarded with a cash payment of $1,000.

    You will not receive a reward if the referee does not open a Citigold International account and deposit at least $100,000 into that account within 6 months of the referral date. You will not receive a reward if the referee does not consent to the disclosure of information which relates to the fact of his/her account opening and the value of his/her deposit.

  4. If you refer an eligible new Client to open a Citigold Private Client account with us, you will receive a gift, chosen by yourself from the range of gift rewards which we advise you are available at the time of the successful referral, plus a cash payment of $500, if the referee opens a Citigold Private Client account (sole or joint) and deposits at least $1,000,000 within 6 months of the referral date. Further, you will receive a gift plus a cash reward of $750 for your second subsequent successful referral, and a gift plus a cash reward of $1,000 for your third subsequent successful referral. All successful referrals beyond your third will be rewarded with a cash payment of $2,000.

    You will not receive a reward if the referee does not open a Citigold Private Client account and deposit at least $1,000,000 within 6 months of the referral date. Further, you will not receive a reward if the referee does not consent to the disclosure of information which relates to the fact of his/her account opening and the value of his/her deposit.

  5. If your referral is successful you will be contacted by your Relationship Manager and you will receive your reward within 30 days of the referee completing the above relevant conditions.

  6. Only accounts opened with Clients forming a new relationship with us will qualify for the Scheme. New accounts created with existing Clients will not qualify.

  7. You will only receive one reward per referee irrespective of how many accounts that referee opens with us. Referees will only be permitted to open either a Citigold International account or a Citigold Private Client account.

  8. If more than one Eligible Client refers a new eligible Client who successfully opens and deposits either a Citigold International account or a Citigold Private Client account with us, the Eligible Client who submitted their referral form first will be entitled to the reward.

  9. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.

  10. You must obtain the prior consent of the referee to being contacted by us before making a referral and you give consent to your name being mentioned in communications between the referee and us.

  11. We have carefully chosen the respective business partner(s) for the Scheme. However, we will not be liable for any loss, damage or non-performance arising from the delivery or use of products and services offered through this Scheme.

  14. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation, or by final determination of a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.

  15. This Scheme is governed by English law and is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts or any court in the United Kingdom which is able to hear the case.
