Punit Sood
CEO & Managing Director
Punit Sood is the Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of Citi Technology Services. He has over 18 years of experience in Information Technology leadership roles in various Fortune 500 companies, most of them in the financial services arena. Before taking up this assignment with Citi Technology Services, Punit was the President of the IT Services division of Mphasis BFL Limited. Prior to joining Mphasis, Punit was the Chief Operating Officer for Capital One’s India Liaison Office. Earlier, he was the Director of Information Technology for the Asia Pacific operations of Carrier Corporation (a division of United Technologies Corporation), based out of Singapore. In this role he was responsible for all internal and customer / supplier facing IT and e-Business initiatives. Before that, in his role as the Chief Information Officer of GE Capital’s Indian operations, Punit supported the growth of the then nascent GE BPO businesses, and was a part of the launch and initial growth of the SBI-GE card portfolio, in addition to managing the IT function for all GE Capital businesses in India. He had earlier completed a ten-year stint in Citibank, heading the IT function for Citibank’s consumer businesses in India for three years.
Punit has a BE in Electronics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, India. |
Jayant Jambotkar
Chief Financial Officer
Jayant Jambotkar is the Chief Financial Officer of CTS. In addition to finance, he also manages admin, procurement and CSIS roles. He has been with Citigroup since 1988 in various assignments across the world. He started his career with Citibank India in the Technology unit. He then moved as the Africa Regional Technology Head based in the Divisional Office in Johannesburg. From there, Jayant moved to London to look after the Technology for Corporate cards in CEEMEA (Central, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa). In 2002, he returned to India and is currently with CTS, based in Mumbai.
He is an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila. |
Nilesh Chaudhari

Offshore Program Management Services
Nilesh owns the CTS relationship with Wealth Management and Alternative Investment Businesses; he is also in charge of delivery to EMEA GTS Corporate Bank Technology, Operations and Business units. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Electronics from the University of Poona. Nilesh started his career with Citigroup in 1996 with COSL (Citicorp Overseas Software Ltd.) in India, during this time he worked primarily for the Corporate Bank in Central Eastern Europe Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) implementing and optimizing Core Banking systems around Operational processes and Business products.
Nilesh has spear headed the regional technology efforts in over hauling the corporate bank Technology platforms to support higher volumes and new business products. In the period from 2002 to 2006 he has been based across countries in the region some of which were Turkey, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Pakistan. |
Rajesh Bhosale
Compliance / BISO
Rajesh Bhosale is the Controls and Compliance head for Citi Technology Services (CTS). In this capacity Rajesh is responsible for the Compliance and Information Security function for CTS.
Rajesh has been with Citigroup since 1999; he has been associated with Citigroup India Technology before, and has a total technology experience of about 15 years. Rajesh has had an extensive TI experience having worked through roles in Bombay Regional Data Center, Transition Projects and as a Senior Reviewer - Vendor Risk Assessment for Technology vendors in India.
Rajesh is a computer science graduate from Poona University, Maharashtra, India. |
Shafi Shaikh
Technology Infrastructure Services
Shafi Shaikh joined CTS in May' 2006 as the Head of the Technology Infrastructure Support and Services (TISS). Currently Shafi manages a team of more than 1000 people in CTS that support Citi entities around the globe for various technology infrastructure services such as System Administration, Database Administration, Information Security Administration, Help Desk, Technology Operations, Technology Controls, Network controls, System Engineering, Database Engineering, Project Mangement etc.
Shafi is a veteran Citi professional and has been with the company for more than 21 years. He has worked in various technology entities in India and overseas. Prior to joining CTS Shafi, was the Technology Head for Turkey, Middle East, Africa and Russia based out of Dubai, UAE where he had to strategize, manage and rollout technology solutions for Citibank's Consumer Businesses in these countries.

Head, HR
Anupam is the Head of Human Resources and has been associated with Citi Technology Services since its inception. Anupam has been working with Citi for the past 7 years, extensively in the areas of Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, Expatriate Services Management, Employee Relations, and other HR generalist areas.
Prior to joining Citi, Anupam was an HR consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers for 3 years working through multi-faceted consulting engagements with clients across diverse industry sectors. Anupam has a master's degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. |
Elango Thiyagarajan
VP- Head ITO-ISH Unit
Elango is the business head for Citi Technology Services - ITO unit aligned to Citi's Global Consumer International business. He is responsible for the relationship, delivery and business development and manages a team of nearly 300 software professionals. He has worked with various technology entities in India and overseas.
Elango has 15 years of experience in the IT industry with specific focus in the financial services area. He has been with Citi for more than 10 years. Prior to joining Citi Technology Services, he was with Citi's International Technology office in Singapore working in various projects and applications. As a Senior Application Manager, Elango implemented and managed Global Applications for all international cards business across multiple regions. Elango has a degree in Engineering with specialization in Computer Science and Engineering.
Venkat Sriramagiri
Application Services
Venkat Sriramagiri K.R. has worked in Polaris Software Labs, where he was the Vice-President and Delivery Head for Retail Banking products, responsible for a team of over 550 employees. He holds a Masters in Computer Science from the Bharatiar University and has 16 years of rich and diverse experience in both consumer banking as well as corporate banking.
Venkat started his career with Tata Consultancy Services where he worked on legacy mainframe technologies, tools deployment and project management. He then moved on to ANZ IT where he managed large Programs relating to Application Reengineering, Offshore Delivery, Offshore Transition, Quality Process Improvement and Shared Services Deployment in a captive Bank technology environment. He was instrumental in ANZ IT attaining an SEI CMM-4 certification in 2001. In his most recent role at Polaris, he has held a full-fledged business management responsibility spanning delivery and operations, SDLC deployment and account management, as well as P&L responsibility.
Shailaja Adurthi
Head BPM Group
Shailaja heads the Business Process Management group in Citi Technology Services providing process management services including Software Quality Management, Program Office Support, Risk Management and Planview Support Services to various Citi Business Sectors.
Shailaja holds a postgraduate degree in engineering with 16 years of experience in IT. She is a certified CQA and CISA. Her experience spans across System Development, Design, O&M (Org and Methods), Compliance and Project Management. Shailaja has been with Citi India for the last 10 years.
Nilesh Chaudhari
VP- Business Head Global Wealth Management
Nilesh Chaudhari is in charge of the Global Wealth Management and Citi Alternative Investments Business Relationships for Citi Technology Services. A B.E in Industrial Electronics (Pune University), he started his career with Citi in 1996 with COSL in Mumbai. He worked primarily for the Corporate Bank in Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA) region
In 2002, he joined the Citi Technology Services unit within Citibank India, which later formed the core of Citi Technology Services. Since then up to December 2006, he has project managed and / or spear headed the Flexcube implementation in over 11 countries across Eastern Europe and Asia. According to Nilesh, "The experience not only leveraged the domain knowledge I had but further enriched it. It exposed me to working with people from varied ethnic backgrounds and face different kinds of challenges. It truly accelerated my growth in a short period of 4 years, preparing me to take on higher responsibilities with confidence."
Raja Valiveti
Production Improvement & Re-engineering
Raja Valiveti heads Productivity Improvement And Re-Engineering at Citi Technology Services. Raj has over 13 years of experience in IT industry of which close to 7 years has been with Citi. He has worked extensively on managing mission critical and global applications, both Citi and Non-Citi , primarily in Consumer Banking Domain. Apart from Application Service Delivery Management, in the last 8 years he has been very closely involved in Architecting Solutions, Design and Development of Applications on Mainframe, Client/Server and Web Technologies.
A. V. Srinivasan (AVS)
Head TI Engineering
AVS joined Citibank N.A. in 1991 and currently heads the Citi Technology Services - TI Engineering. The unit has highly qualified engineers with niche skills and handles global projects supporting functions like Packaging services, USM engineering, DSI (Desktop Standards Initiative) Packaging, Performance engineering (BMC & Tivoli), Business Objects, evaluation of tools etc. Some of the new initiatives include 4-node RAC implementation, support on Shell scripting, VBScripting, PL/SQL etc.
AVS has 21 years of experience in the IT industry with specific focus in the Infrastructure management. He has been with the Citi for more than 15 years. Prior to joining Citi Technology Services he was with Madras Regional Datacenter of Citibank N.A. working in various projects and applications. As DBA Head, AVS implemented and managed Database consolidation for all application databases supporting Citibank India business.
