Citibank Hungary Launches Distribution of 12 new Offshore Mutual Funds

Citibank Zrt., a member of Citi today announced expansion of its investment product range with distribution of 12 new mutual funds managed by Credit Suisse Asset Management Luxemburg and ING Investment Management Luxemburg. With launch of these new funds Citibank's customers can now select from 68 different funds managed by 8 fund house and asset manager partners,.

"We experience an increasing interest of our customers to add more sophisticated products to their investment portfolios. In line with our strategy we continue to broaden our offerings of high quality core and satellite products to allow an ever growing selection to our customers to meet and more over anticipate their needs. Currently our mutual funds offer includes 48 offshore funds and 20 local funds." - said Batara Sianturi, Consumer Business Manager for Citibank Zrt.

The 12 new mutual funds are the following:

  • Funds denominated in EUR

    ING Industrials: The fund invests in shares issued by companies active in the industrials sector. This may include companies involved in the following industries: manufacture and distribution of capital goods (including aerospace & defence, building products, construction & engineering, electrical equipment, industrial conglomerates, machinery, trading companies & distributors); provision of commercial services and supplies (including printing, data processing, employment, environmental and office services); provision of transportation services (including airlines, couriers, marine, road & rail and transportation infrastructure).

    ING Prestige and Luxe: The fund invests in shares issued by companies with "Prestige and Luxe" associated brands, that have strong market positions on a global level.

    ING European Food and Beverages: The fund invests in shares issued by companies incorporated, quoted or traded in any European country and active in the consumer staples sector. This may include companies involved in the following industries: manufacturers and distributors of food, beverages and tobacco; producers of non-durable household goods and personal products; food & drug retailers.

    ING European Telecom: The fund invests in shares issued by companies incorporated, quoted or traded in any European country and active in the telecom sector. This may include companies that provide communications services primarily through a fixed-line, cellular, wireless, high bandwidth and/or fibre optic cable network.

    ING Emerging Europe: The fund invests in shares issued by companies incorporated, quoted or traded in any emerging country of Europe.

    Credit Suisse Russia Explorer: The fund invests its assets in companies domiciled in Russia or enterprises whose business activities are mainly conducted there. Up to 30% of the Fund's assets may be invested in the Post-Soviet States of Central Asia, the Transcaucasus and Eastern Europe or which conduct the overwhelming proportion of their business activities there. These countries include: Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan Belarus and Moldavia.

    Credit Suisse High Yield Bond EUR: The Fund invests primarily in euro denominated non-investment grade bonds issued by European companies.

    Credit Suisse Convert Europe: The fund invests across the entire range of borrower ratings with at least two-thirds of its assets in convertible fixed-income securities issued by public, private and semi-private issuers domiciled in Europe.

  • Funds denominated in USD

    ING Biotechnology: The fund invests in shares issued by companies active in the Biotechnology sector. Biotechnology activities are research, development, manufacture, and distribution of various biotechnological or biomedical products, services and processes. This may include companies involved in genetics, genetic engineering, and gene therapy. It also includes companies involved in the application and development of biotechnology in areas such as health care and pharmaceuticals.

    ING Latin America: The sub-fund invests in shares issued by companies incorporated, quoted or traded in Latin America (including the Caribbean).

    Credit Suisse Target Return USD: The fund invests worldwide in bonds, including convertible bonds (max. 25% of AUM) and money market instruments across the entire range of borrower ratings and maturities using different strategies.

    Credit Suisse Global Prestige USD: The Fund invests worldwide in companies with business activities in the production, distribution and sales of luxury goods and services (e.g. jewellery, watches, fashion, automobile, cosmetics, spirits and hotels).

The minimum investment amount required is EUR 2,000 or USD 2,500 and Citibank Zrt. applies a transparent fee structure. The mutual funds are available through Citibank Zrt.' 23-branch network and after conclusion of the Master Agreement on Investment Services through CitiPhone Banking telephone customer service.
