Mr. Janos Koka, Minister of Economy and Transport for Hungary, together with Mr. Sajjad Razvi, Citigroup Country Officer for Citibank Zrt. and Mr. Attila Bukovszki, head of Citibank International Plc. Hungary branch today formally inaugurated the Citigroup Global IT Service Center in Budapest.
This center of excellence provides Information Technology (IT) related services for Citigroup entities all around the world. Citibank International Plc., a member of Citigroup, today announced the expansion in the functions of the Citigroup Global IT Service Center and the launch of two new Service Centers within Citibank International Plc. Hungary branch.
One of the two new centers of excellence, the Finance Support Service Center, which began operations recently, currently has 25 professionals providing Product Control Services and Forecast Funding Unit Services for Citigroup entities in Western Europe. The other one is a Business Services Center which will be opened in the near future and will provide general administration services. The expansion of the existing Service Center and the launch of the new Service Centers in Hungary will create an additional 140 jobs for talented Hungarian professionals. There is also scope for significant further expansion in the medium term. The Service Centers currently employ 140 professionals.

This decision of the company is a clear evidence of the investors' ongoing confidence in Hungary, which contributes to Hungary's sound economy."
Mr. Sajjad Razvi, Citigroup Country Officer for Citibank Zrt. and Division Executive for Citigroup's Corporate and Investment Banking business in the Central Europe Division said: "We are delighted to be able to create a great number of new jobs for talented Hungarian professionals. The Citigroup Global IT Service Center in Hungary currently offers the following services:
- Threat Assessment (CTAC), Performance Engineering, SQL Database Administration, Log Review (ALERT), Global Deployment and Packaging services globally
- Information Security Administration (ISA), Avaya IPT Support, Risk and Business Office Administration and Network IPT Operation Quality Management services for the Europe, Middle-East and Africa region
