Citibank Rt., a member of Citigroup, today opened a new branch
in Kaposvar, further strengthening the bank's position in the Hungarian
market. This is Citibank's 22nd branch in Hungary, which now has
a presence in 19 major cities in the country.
Situated in 7 Fo street, the branch will service consumer and the
small and medium enterprise (SME) corporate customers. The retail
offering spans the Citibank range - personal investment loans, credit
and debit cards, accounts and investment instruments, and SME products
on offer include cash management, trade and leasing, treasury, investment
products and short and long term credit facilities.
Zdenek Turek, Citigroup Country Officer for Citibank Rt. said, "Citibank
Hungary is a strategically important market for Citigroup and we
are strongly committed to extensively grow our business in the next
couple of years. This is the third branch Citibank opens in Hungary
in 2004 and we have also opened four sales centers in various cities
this year. Kaposvar is a significant economic, educational and cultural
regional center and it was very important for us that besides existing
channels - telephone, internet banking and sales agents - we also
offered branch banking to our customers living in the city and its
