Citibank Rt., a member of Citigroup today announced the launch
of the Citibank Alerting Service, a wireless alert program for its
account and VISA credit card customers, which provides transaction
information directly to the customer's mobile phone or e-mail.
Many user-friendly features are available. Banking alert options include debit or credit transactions on bank account and any debit - POS or ATM transactions - on Citicard. Credit card alert options include payment due, debit on basic and supplementary card, payment to credit card, supplementary card spending, card renewal and fraud alerts.
Zdenek Turek, Citigroup Country Officer for Citibank Rt., said: "The beauty of Citibank Alerting Service is that it puts the customer in the driver's seat. Although the customer may access the information required through established channels such as CitiPhone Banking telephone customer service or Citibank Online internet banking service, the advantage of Citibank Alerting Service is that it offers a one-time set up facility and updates customers with information automatically, in the country and as they travel abroad."
Customers who have activated their Citibank Online internet banking access simply need to log on to Citibank Rt.'s website at www.citibank.hu to activate the Citibank Alerting Service. This flexible service allows customers to customize the types of alerts they want to receive and to where. Customers may also activate the service via CitiPhone Banking telephone customer service, in the Citibank branches and sales centers.
