about the "Activate a payee via SMS" and the
"File upload authorization via SMS" services |

Dear Customer!
Citibank Zrt. places great emphasis on secure banking through
the Internet. We have much pleasure in informing you that as a
result of our continuous developments we are glad to inform you
that we are introducing significant improvements
from December 9, 2006 for a more comfortable and
secure administration.
For Citibank's Consumer and
CitiBusiness customers
Online Activation Code
From December 9, 2006 the customers will be able to initiate
transactions to those customers only who are indicated as payee.
Thanks to this more secure solution and for the sake of your convenience
parallel to this the requirement for repeated password providing
to confirm the record of transaction order will cease. This development
concerns both our Consumer and our CitiBusiness customers.
Adding new payees will still be possible through the services
of Citibank Online and CitiPhone Banking. However, after December
9, 2006 for initiating an order the partners on the list of payees
will have to be activated.
A new payee added through CitiPhone will immediately be in active
status, while after December 9, 2006 those payees added through
Citibank Online will remain in inactive status until the activation
is finished in the system. You will have 5 working days
to activate the payees. Inactive payees may be activated the following
way:
- For activation we send an Online Activation Code to
you in a text message in case you indicate this need
of yours via the Internet prior adding the payee. You need to
register the mobile number to be used for such purpose via CitiPhone
Banking or in one of our branches personally by filling out
the appropriate form.
- With the help of the Online Activation Code sent to you in
the SMS you will have 60 minutes to activate the payee you added.
In case you miss this deadline, you will only be able to
activate the payee through CitiPhone Banking. The system
generates a separate Online Activation Code for each payee.
- For activating any inactive payee added through Citibank Online
- within 5 working days from being recorded by you - you will
have the possibility using the customer service of CitiPhone
Banking at any time.
For Citibank's CitiBusiness
customers
For the safety of CitiBusiness customers the Online Transaction
Code will be introduced as well from December 9, 2006, which will
only concern those CitiBusiness Customers that are using the
"file upload" function.
For being able to use our "file upload" service sending
the Online Transaction Code as confirmation will be necessary.
We will send you the Online Transaction Code in an SMS as well
to the mobile phone that you previously registered, in case you
send your request using the "file upload" menu point.
The Online Transaction Code can only be claimed through Citibank
Online. Giving the code you received in the text message at Citibank
Online you will have 60 minutes for uploading a file. In case
you wish to upload more than one file you will have to claim a
separate code for each.
You need to register the mobile number to be used for receiving
the Online Transaction Code through CitiPhone Banking or personally
in one of our branches by filling out the appropriate form; however
the registered mobile number cannot be different from the mobile
number registered for receiving the Online Activation Code.
The mobile numbers for receiving the Online Activation Code and
the Online Transaction Code may be changed using any the above-mentioned
channels free of charge at any time.
We would like to draw your attention that until the implementation
of the developments described in present Information letter you
should use our services on Citibank Online following the routine
until now.
At the same time we inform you that this Information letter will
appear every time you log on Citibank Online until the implementation
of the changes.
