The new Citibank Alerts Service provides instant access to information and full control of your card!

Now, thanks to the new Citibank Alerts Service, you have instant access to information concerning your Citibank Visa, Citibank MasterCard and Diners cards.

Specifically, as soon as you register for the service, every time...
  • You carry out a purchase with your card (either you or the add-on card holder)
  • The statement of your account is issued, notifying you of your payment due
  • The settlement date of your account is near
  • You are approaching 80% of your credit level
  • Your credit level is increased
...you will receive an SMS* message on your mobile phone and
an e-mail* at your e-mail address!


Thus, in conjunction with the Fraud Early Warning System that is already available, cases of unauthorized use of your card are limited even further, so that you may feel even safer.

In order to register, you shall be asked to provide your card number, your mobile phone number and your e-mail address.

 

*For security reasons, the SMS or e-mail messages you shall receive will indicate only the last four digits of the card number of the account enrolled in Citibank Alerts.

 

Terms and Conditions of the Citibank Alerts Service
1. Through the Citibank Alerts service, holders of Citibank Visa, Citibank MasterCard and Diners Club cards, may receive messages via e-mail and/or their mobile phone (with an SMS message), relating to the activity of their card.
2. The Citibank Alerts service is available subsequent to instructions from the card-holder and for the specific card for which he wants to receive information. Registration for the Citibank Alerts service, as well as discontinuation of same, is conducted by telephone, by calling Citiphone 210 92 90 190. Your instructions for registration to the Citibank Alerts service, via Citiphone, implies acceptance of the terms and Conditions set out on www.citibank.gr
3. E-mail and/or SMS messages shall be sent to the personal e-mail address and mobile phone number provided by the holder. It is the duty of the holder to notify Citibank or Diners Club of any changes thereof whatsoever.
4. The holder shall not be able to respond to Alerts sent  by email and/or SMS messages so as to manage his card account.
5. Each message shall only be sent once. Should the holder cancel or delete the message, it shall not be reproduced.
6. Messages by e-mail or SMS shall be sent and received between 09:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. (GMT + 02:00). Alerts concerning transactions carried out between 11:01 p.m. and 08:59 a.m. (GMT + 02:00), shall be sent during the aforementioned time span.
7. Sending and receiving e-mail and/or SMS messages may not take place or may be delayed for reasons Citibank or Diners Club cannot be responsible for, such as technical problems in the holder’s telephone services provider. For example, sending and receiving e-mail and/or SMS messages may not be possible should (a) the "inbox" of the e-mail or mobile phone connection given by the holder have exceeded its capacity, (b) if your mobile phone device is a SmartPhone, (c) if the provider the holder has subscribed to does not provide the necessary cover for mobile telephony in a specific geographical location (either within Greece or abroad), (d) a recent request for the portability of a mobile phone number that has not yet been processed, or (e) the holder have applied an anti-SPAM program without having included Citibank as an acceptable sender etc.
8. Citibank International plc and Diners Club cannot guarantee the confidentiality, precision, fullness or timely receipt of the information contained in the Alerts, nor are they liable for any losses, direct or indirect, that may arise from inability to receive or delayed receipt of the Alerts messages that are not due to them.
9. The subscription to the Citibank Alerts service shall be charged to your card’s account and is equal to €1.00 per month, for each Citibank Visa, Citibank MasterCard and Diners Club card enrolled in the service, apart from Citibank Platinum Visa and Diners Club Prestige cards for which it is free. Registration to Citibank Alerts service is automatically renewed every year.
10. The Citibank Alerts service is only offered as an information facility. It does not replace the monthly statement of the holder’s account.
