Direct control of every transaction with Citibank and Diners credit cards.

The total and immediate control of credit cards transactions is now made easy, since every cardholder can be informed with an sms or an email about each and every transaction at the time it is executed. This is the main characteristic of the Citibank Alerts Service that is offered to Citibank (Visa & MasterCard) and Diners Club customers, adding further to the security levels in transactions.

Aiming to further increase consumer protection from fraud attempts, Citibank Alerts offer full information in every case of card use for purchases in stores, by mentioning the date, the sum and the shop, so that the customer can check all transactions. Moreover, the sms or email messages inform the cardholder for any transaction that may be considered ‘suspicious’, for a possible card re-issuance for security reasons and for every invalid pin entering during card use.

This entire information limit the cases of unauthorized use of a credit card and maximize the level of cardholder protection in combination with Fraud Early Warning Service, which singles out transactions that greatly differ from the defined previous purchase behaviour of each cardholder.

Useful messages are also sent to credit card customers when reaching the credit line limit, about the credit line increase, the statement issuance, the payment due date, the full and the minimum payment amount.

Citibank Alerts Service is valid for the main and supplementary cards and is offered with no charge until the end of 2008. As from 2009, the service will cost 1Euro/month.
