New organizational structure in Citi Greece: One team with focus on the client.
Athens, June 23, 2008.
The aim of Citi’s international organizational announcement is the empowerment of the businesses in each country and the transfer of decision-making at a local level. The Citi Country Officer, with an expanded role, has the responsibility of all the businesses that operate in each country. The new structure aims at a more effective operation of the Bank focusing on the client.
Mr. Chris Vassiliades is the new Citi Country Officer (CCO) for Greece, following Mr. Christos Sorotos’ decision to leave the company.
Mr. Chris Vassiliades was Business Manager of Citibank Consumer Group Greece since 2000 and Division Executive for Middle East & Africa Consumer Group since 2006. He started his career in Citibank in 1990, serving the bank in various positions in Greece and abroad.
As Mr. Vassiliades has stated, «Citi in Greece has had successful results since 1964 in all its businesses as the largest foreign bank in Greece. It is widely known in the market, that the Bank has been consistent and effective in supporting the large Greek businesses, shipping and the public sector, who trust in Citi their important business deals. In addition, the Citi’s Consumer Banking sector has doubled its size within the last few years. I am certain that the new unified structure combined with the top-level personnel of the bank will further enhance Citi’s work going forward.
In addition, Mr. Vassiliades will serve as Consumer Cluster Head for Southern Europe, (Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece) and Belgium.
