The criteria for the category Best Consumer Internet Bank included:
- Strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers,
- The Bank’s success in getting clients to use web offerings,
- Growth of online customers,
- Breadth of product offerings,
- Evidence of tangible benefits gained from internet initiatives and web site design
and functionality.
Citibank Greece won its award in the first round awards for best country bank. The award for global winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in New York in November. This award is one more significant distinction for Citibank, especially since it comes from respectable and objective observers of the industry. At the same time it comes as a reward to the internet projects that were completed and promoted efficiently throughout 2005, such as the renewal of the Bank’s website, the new functions that were added on Citibank Online and the new Online Applications for a series of products such as personal loans. It is also reminded that through Citibank Online the user may perform a variety of regular banking transactions such as money transfer, paying credit cards and utility bills and checking balances always with the highest security levels.
