Forever Woman: Citibank comes closer to women.
Athens, May 31, 2006
Athens. Celebrating the completion of 3 months since the successful launch of the pioneering programme “Forever Woman”, Citibank honoured the Pan-Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois” for their significant work by making a donation to support their mission. During the event, and in the presence of press representatives, Mrs. Christina Lambropoulou, Director of Wealth Management and Insurance Products, Citibank Consumer, Greece, presented the cheque to the President of the “Alma Zois”, Ms. Leta Hatzi, expressing the bank’s support to awareness and prevention efforts that can make women feel protected.
"Forever Woman" was designed in cooperation with ALICO AIG LIFE exclusively for women and is unique in the Greek market. The new programme enhances prevention and offers significant financial support in case of women cancer. Its small monthly fee includes a number of advantages: regular annual women medical tests, a second medical opinion in cooperation with leading medical centers in the US and various options of financial support. These include a lump sum after the diagnosis, a monthly allowance for 12 months after the diagnosis and a daily allowance for up to 100 days in case of hospitalization. This financial support allows women to focus on their treatment with minimum disruption to their and their family’s daily financial needs.
During the event, Mrs. Ch. Lambropoulou stressed that: “It is every woman’s right to enjoy her life even during hardships. In cooperation with “Alma Zois” as well as through our “Forever Woman” programme we want to support women in the effort of making this right a reality!” Ms. Leta Hatzi, commented: “We deeply thank Citibank for this generous gesture and for its sensitivity on the problem of female cancer. This amount is a valuable help to our mission for the early prevention and awareness and we hope that such programmes will encounter greater support in our country”.
