Citibank’s network is expanding.

Athens, May 9, 2006

Athens. Citibank continues the expansion of its network in Greece with the opening of two new branches in Freatida, Piraeus and in Filothei, Athens to make it even easier for customers to visit the bank and manage their finances.  This expansion is part of the wider strategy of the bank, which now has 60 branches throughout the country and plans to open more branches in the coming years.

The two new branches are unique in the design and decoration of the interior, but also with their functionalism.  The bright colours, the transparent partitions and the original banners referring to Citibank’s products and services, all emit a more “pop” style and welcome the customer to a space much different than usual bank branches.  Moreover, the proficient and well-trained personnel of the Bank provide consumers the opportunity to enjoy a particularly high level of service.  Both branches offer a full counter service and the full range of Citibank products and, from bank and savings accounts, to credit cards, personal installment loans and mortgages, through to sophisticated Citigold wealth management services for wealthier customers.

Mr. Stelios Pirpinias, Distribution Head, Citibank Greece, commented on the opening of the new branches "Both areas are of particular importance to us.  Besides that though, we believe that the new interior design creates a very pleasant atmosphere.  We want the customers who visit us to feel that they enter a familiar and friendly environment."

The Freatida branch is located at 68 Akti Moutsopoulou str. in Piraeus and is under the management of Ms. Papadopoulou Georgia, whilst the branch of Filothei in Athens is at 54 Kapodistriou str. and its manager is Mr. Christoforos Koufalias.
