Citibank was awarded the Bank with the Best Working Environment in Greece.

Athens, April 13, 2006

For the second consecutive year, Citibank has been recognized as the Bank with the Best Working Environment in Greece with an award given in the BEST WORKPLACES 2006 competition. In addition, in the overall ranking, Citibank climbed to the 10th place among the 20 companies with the best working environment in Greece. Ms. Aggeliki Christofides, Human Resources Director, accepted the award on behalf of Citibank in a ceremony that took place on the 11th April.

Participants’ ranking was decided based on their evaluation in five major criteria: Reliability, Respect, Justice, Pride and Companionship. Ms. Christofides commented regarding this honorary distinction: “At Citibank, respect of personality, potential for professional development, fair evaluation, and two-way internal communication are the basic characteristics of our culture”. Moreover, she emphasized that “Citibank’s goal is to be number one with employees and number one with customers. Our distinction in the BEST WORKPLACES competition is the result of continuous investment in time and resources, in order for our working environment to satisfy our employees’ professional and personal needs. We are pleased that our people recognize this effort and made the Bank stand out again this year”.

Citibank’s ranking among the 10 companies with the Best Working Environment in Greece automatically qualifies the Bank for the list of 100 Best Workplaces in Europe, the award ceremony of which will take place in Berlin on the 17th May 2006.
