Diners Club -Unicef offered smiles to 250.000 children around the world.

Athens, June 27, 2005.

Diners Club has the pleasure to announce that the co-brand card Diners Club - Unicef, gave life and a reason to smile to over than 250.000 children around the world, with its vaccination programme against measles, during the first 16 months of its circulation.

The money that were offered to Unicef for these vaccinations come from the 0,5 % of the value of the transactions made by each Diners Club-Unicef cardholder, who were not charged for this
at all.

Unicef and Diners Club would like to thank all those who supported and continue to support this effort. We should not forget that in less developed countries, diseases like measles are proved to be fatal where over 2 million children die every year from diseases like that. Diners Club-Unicef gives the opportunity to save a child’s life. Cardholders are urged not to loose it. Each member’s contribution, despite how small it can be, is of high value!
