Founded in 1988, Goldman Sachs Asset Management ("GSAM") is part of the Investment Management Division ("IMD"), which was established as an operating division of GS&Co. in 1999. GSAM is comprised of the asset management subsidiaries of the parent organisation, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. ("GSG, Inc."), a publicly traded company. GSAM has been providing discretionary investment advisory services since 1989.
