Automatic Enrollment

Diners Club can help you simplify and expedite your CCS implementation process and ongoing Card issuance through an automated, paperless solution - Diners Club Automatic Enrollment. Your organization provides Diners Club with a simple data file with the names of the employees you have selected to receive Cards. We automatically issue Corporate Cards to these employees, and they become Diners Club Corporate Cardmembers. This eliminates the need to complete paper applications and route them through a time-consuming approval process, and saves you the effort of forwarding stacks of paper to Diners Club.

Using Automatic Enrollment is very simple. If you follow the procedures we've outlined below, you won't encounter any problems, and your Corporate Cardmembers should receive their Cards soon after we receive your data. How the Automatic Enrollment Process Works

  • Your organization prepares a file of all individuals authorized to receive a Diners Club Corporate Card. For the smoothest processing, we suggest that the file be created in MS Excel using this Sample Excel file. You can also export any other data format into ASCII using these ASCII File specifications. After you have created your file, you can provide it to us on a 3.5" diskette, or by encrypted email using our secure email post office.
  • If you wish, you can provide Diners Club with an abbreviated file of about 20 records to use as a test file before you send us a complete listing. We will check the file to ensure that it will run correctly in our internal systems.
  • Once the file has been approved, you can forward your complete file of authorized Corporate Cardmembers.
  • After account numbers are generated, your Corporate Cardmembers will usually receive their cards within 7-10 business days at the billing address you have provided, unless you choose to distribute them internally. In that case, they will be sent to your internal Diners Club Program Coordinator, or the individual you specify. Corporate Cardmember terms and conditions and activation instructions will be provided with the Card.
  • The Corporate Card will remain inactive until Corporate Cardmembers call the toll-free number to activate the card. When they call, a quick security check is conducted for verification using information from your file (such as home address, phone number, mother's maiden name, etc.).
  • Upon successful verification, the Card is activated and the Corporate Cardmember is given a quick overview of the Diners Club program. If you choose to allow it, the Corporate Cardmember will also have the opportunity to learn about the Club Rewards program and the opportunity to apply for a no-fee Diners Club Personal Card.
  • Two to three weeks later, you or your Corporate Cardmembers will receive a comprehensive Welcome Kit with a Membership Sourcebook that includes a complete explanation of the benefits and utility of the Diners Club Corporate Card.

Diners Club Automatic Enrollment can begin once all contractual arrangements between your organization and Diners Club have been finalized, and your complete Account Structure is in place. Standard Card shipment usually takes place within seven to ten business days from receipt of the application by Diners Club. Usually, your organization's Corporate Cardmembers will receive their Cards within the following two weeks, and can easily activate their Cards upon receipt with one quick, toll-free call.

After the initial enrollment process, subsequent employees who become Corporate Cardmembers will be enrolled in the program via your organization's choice of Automatic Enrollment or paper applications. If you need to enroll a large number of new Corporate Cardmembers at nearly the same time, we recommend that you use Automatic Enrollment. When you need to add only a few additional Corporate Cardmembers, you should feel free to fax in standard paper applications to your Business Service Representative or use our secure online applications.
